I did that all on the first try. Messier scored 5 goals in the four games, and I managed to get the Isles to pull both Chico Resch in 1980 and Billy Smith in 1982. yh
1981 World Series as it shoulda' been (dratted strike!): The Cards come from a 3 games to 0 deficit to beat the Yanks 4 games to 3, including a 2-1 10 inning win in Game 7 at Yankee Stadium.NFL Extreme Bowl: The 1976 Tampa Bay Bucs take a stunning 7-0 lead into the second quarter and then call it a day, giving up 34 unanswered points to the 1972 Miami Dolphins.NFL Rematch Bowls: The 1979-80 Conference Title Games were both close, controversial affairs. The Steelers edged the Oilers by virtue of a questionable call wherein a Houston receiver was called out of bounds in the endzone on what would have been the winning TD catch. Meanwhile, in Tampa, the amazing run of the Buccaneers was stopped by Mother Nature and the foot of Frank Corrall as he booted three field goals in a torrential downpour that left the field virtually unplayable. So, I gave both teams a clean slate. The Oilers failed to seize the opportunity as they were blown away by the Steelers 45-28. The Bucs, however, with a dry field, kept their miracle season alive by defeating the Rams 23-16. In the Super Bowl (which had to be played at the LA Coliseum because the Rose Bowl isn't available in this siim game), Cinderella's glass slipper was just a wee bit too tight and the Steelers squeaked by with a 21-16 win.
