  1. here's the different between UConn and schools like Kentucky and Duke. when Kentucky and Duke are winning, there was never any hope anyway. when UConn wins, it's always when they're surrounded by better options. they're essentially the Angels of college basketball - while UConn is actually successful, they share the same "ruining it for everybody at every opportunity" ethos.
  2. man idk guys, seems like we're being spoiled a bit, don't you think? if only Duke or Kentucky were here right now. lmao see how insane that sounds? this tourney rocks.
  3. literally who cares? last year's Final Four was nothing but blue-bloods and it was unbelievably flaccid.
  4. of the 14 teams remaining as I write this, only two have won the NCAA tournament once before, and only UConn has done so in the last 25 years. therefore, preemptively congratulating the Huskies on their title because we all know how this goes.
  5. lmao what a pathetic league. guess I have no reason to care about any jersey news for the next decade or so.
  6. I always thought I'd never see a 16 beat a 1 in the men's tourney. it's happened twice in five years. whatever happened to the simulation, I'm in favor of it.
  7. Northwestern have never lost in the first round of the NCAA tournament. please refrain from asking how many times Northwestern have made the NCAA tournament.
  8. I could use this post to point out how there was like a 5-point foul swing in SDSU's favor in the final minute of that game, and how they just happened to cover the spread, and talk about how sports betting should be fully illegal. BUT NEVERMIND THAT SHlT. HERE COMES PRINCETON
  9. not sure if you still have mine (on mobile at the moment), but I'd like to add the Giants' Super Bowl/NFL championships, NFC titles, and division titles - one per season, whichever is most prestigious.
  10. pretty sure the only way things will ever be different is when Tank croaks. until then I'm done. maybe the Yankees can break past Houston this year, I don't know.
  11. actually, I think I can personally decide whether or not I'm a fan of a team or not. I'll do whatever's healthiest for me.
  12. this isn't about Rodgers as a person, although I also think he's a legitimately reprehensible person. it's about the Jets having multiple options and taking the one that blows up in their face every single time. you know where their strengths were last season before falling apart? the rushing game and defense. the only reason they didn't make the playoffs, aside from injuries, was that they'd somehow assembled the most bad quarterbacks under one roof I've ever seen. all they really needed was just a decent QB. someone baggage-free and not too old who could take a relative backseat and guide the team without completely prolapsing. someone like, say, Derek Carr. who was tied to the Jets! but, since this is the Jets, they went for the ancient primadonna instead. why should I have any reason to believe this won't end up exactly like Favre's stint did? why should I continue to support a team that takes the worse option over and over again without giving any indication they'll ever prove me wrong? I'd love it if they did! I really would! but there's a reason this team hasn't won a Super Bowl since the Beatles were still together. and I really, genuinely don't think adding a dude who'll probably retire after one season and move on to appearing on Tucker Carlson is going to change that. also, the Bucs had won a title in this century pre-Brady. that's not a "sorry-ass team" as far as I'm concerned.
  13. yeah, frankly, I think I'm just gonna become a full-on Giants fan. I don't want to root for this waste of oxygen.
  14. for once in my life, a team I like didn't fall at the final hurdle. by which I mean Charleston are CAA champions and are going to the tourney.
  15. the CAA regular season has wrapped up, and Charleston & Hofstra are co-regular season champions. as someone who grew up in Nassau County and lives in the Lowcountry, this is absolutely phenomenal.
  16. as someone who first got extremely into football around 2010 or so, this makes me feel like my body is a withered husk
  17. I will say this, Mahomes at the very least has a tangential connection to the Mets. that's something.
  18. reminder that there's a direct correlation between refball deciding games and the increased legalization of sports betting
  19. oh my god they're deciding it on a phantom holding call for the second year in a row lmao
  20. oh kansas city's balls are FIRMLY down the league's throat now
  21. mine has two logos - the first I'm pretty sure is an original, but the second is a blue/black/white recolor of the AFL's Carolina Cobras that admittedly looks quite nice
  22. chiefs really pulled out all the stops to get that one-way ticket to a 3D through a flaming table lmao
  23. San Francisco vs. Philadelphia Cincinnati vs. Kansas City
