  1. McDaniel wasn't at his best tonight. Not going for the field goal would have been the defining moment had they not won (I thought the decision itself was fine, but using a small guy like Edmonds up the middle was dumb). Tua also made some risky plays that would've been disastrous, with the head-lowering dive against the defender for the first down (which he didn't even get) and that fact that he could've had four interceptions if it weren't for the Steelers' defenders dropping them. Neither team scored in the second half, with both defenses looking great. I'm proud of our secondary, given that several starters were out. I'm especially proud of Noah Igbinoghene because for most of the game, he was getting outplayed, but that final interception was a big statement.
  2. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the 1972 team, Tua coming back from his concussion, and getting the Dolphins' first Sunday Night Football win ever... against the Steelers of all teams. For this Dolphins fan, it was one of the best nights I've ever had in my fandom.
  3. Yeah, they lost three series to Boston starting from 2004, so within a pretty wide stretch. They've lost to Houston in three (or maybe soon-to-be four) series within a shorter stretch of seven years. I'm focusing more on just the recent number of years rather than beyond a whole decade. New York and Boston have met each other back to back for a century, they play in the same division, they see each other more often, so there is bound to be moments where one gets the upper hand on the other. These are the Astros. Before 2017, they were one of the bottom tier franchises and again, I find it amusing that the Yankees are struggling against a non-division opponent that doesn't have all the pizazz like the bigger franchises do historically.
  4. The fact that Houston has owned New York in the past several years is bizarre, and honestly hilarious. It amazes me that a franchise like the Yankees, as lustrous as they are or have been historically, are actually on the bad end of a rivalry. It's usually the other way around.
  5. Clemson is looking pretty overrated. They remind me of 2014 Florida State and how they squeaked by through the soft ACC for weeks until they got to the first playoffs, getting steamrolled by Oregon. If they get in this year, I'm not seeing a win for them.
  6. Why is Texas such a heavy favorite over an OKST team who is ranked higher and is playing in Stillwater?
  7. I thought he left SF because of his health? Then again if it were the case, it shouldn't surprise me if guys like Francona and Showalter haven't called it quits yet.
  8. I'm aware that McCaffrey is an elite talent, but it seems like a lot to give up for someone that both can't stay healthy and is on the twilight of their prime. Don't they also have like three other backs on their roster? Granted one is injured.
  9. Took me a bit to realize that the Clippers' jersey sponsor says honey and not another word I was thinking of.
  10. I'm disappointed by the way Arizona's helmets look in the stadium light. Too much glare, which makes the logo get lost among the black shell.
  11. What...? The Astros cheated again? (I'm assuming that's who you're referring to)
  12. I noticed this about two years after the renovations were done. I don't know if opposing teams are allowed to bring some form of shade via canopies (I guess not though since I haven't seen any), but the large temperature gap between the sidelines did raise an eyebrow. It's in a way similar to Seattle's metallic overhang reflecting the sound from the crowd right back onto the field, creating that unbearably loud echo. I don't know if it was intentional on their behalf, as I thought it was meant to keep the fans dry from the common rain in the region. It's worth noting that Miami's home record since then is 32-20, in contrast to their poor away record of 18-33.
  13. Mariners fans staying till the 18th just for their team to lose and get eliminated. Rough.
  14. Watching Mahomes against the AFC West is like watching Brady against the AFC East. Absolute dominance.
  15. I know Campbell came off as a likable guy, even amongst his players.. but the Lions need to let him go. He's not the answer at head coach.
  16. The announcers need to calm down on the Cardinals d**k riding. "Baseball heaven?" Lol stop.
  17. I hope that loss for Kansas isn't a sign of things to come. It would be wonderful to see them finish the season with a better record than Oklahoma or Texas (or both).
  18. What they should be talking about is the Mets s******g the bed as usual, with the Padres moving on and meeting their destiny of losing to the rival Dodgers because LA > SD.
  19. Watching Matthew Stafford is like watching Eli Manning.
  20. ^ Heard that before; let's not get our hopes up. This was a good season for Baltimore, but history hasn't been very kind to them, even after 2014. If I was an O's fan, I would just relish in the fact that they were literally in the postseason hunt at some point (and finished with a winning record). Still, I'd like to see what next year can bring for them. There is reason for optimism.
  21. The Dolphins have been a pretty scummy organization and I say this as someone that's rooted for them roughly two decades. From the coaching and medical staff botching Tua's concussions to the piece of s**t owner Stephen Ross and the allegations against him, it makes it easy to root beyond against this team. I'm at the point where I want Tua as the quarterback and still feel really bad for him. He's a guy that's never felt wanted by his franchise, with everybody pondering if he's "the guy" and Miami teasing all that Deshaun Watson and Tom Brady speculation during both the past season and offseason. Things start looking up for him and the Dolphins this season and then this happens. It just sucks; I want better for Tua. As a fan, it puts a sour taste in my mouth.
  22. It's a once in a season thing they're just having fun with. They'll be back to their regular colors afterward. EDIT: I also don't think the white tiger thing they're doing is stupid either. Again, just a once in a season thing, but it can a good alternate for them to own.
  23. 3-0 is a pretty nice place to be. I'm just glad the Dolphins aren't getting swept (AGAIN) by Buffalo. I don't care if anyone is sold on Tua or not, I just really don't. He doesn't have to be frickin Mahomes. He's doing enough, with the biggest difference this time being that he has better weapons to throw to. That's all this fan can really ask for.
  24. Yikes. That isn't a good look. ASU football, or maybe the athletic program, have no clue what they're doing.
