  1. As fair as I'm aware, the NFL has a rule that states the team's alternate (unless it's a throwback and designated as such) can only be a color that's found on the home or road jersey. It's the same reason the Jets have the stupid black stroke on the numbers - it allows them to make the black alt. The Niners' black one is also different because it was a Color Rush jersey - I believe those were allowed to bend the rules.
  2. The Rams couldn't introduce a black set, right? Because they don't have black on any of their primary home/road uniforms. When the Comrades introduced their new set they said that the black on the white jersey is what allowed them to create the god-awful black set.
  3. Not the point but really? Teal? Come on. It's blue.
  4. I go back and forth on it. Said out loud, it's more like four and half because of the "nia" sound that is technically two syllables but is often counted as one. Still a clunky geographic identifier and unfit for the Angels.
  5. I prefer Anaheim over Los Angeles for three reasons: 1. The three-syllable Anaheim is far less clunky than the two-word, four-syllable Los Angeles. California is even worse because it's five syllables. 2. I dislike it when teams in the same sport share a geographic name and thus have to incorporate their nicknames into their abbreviations. 3. They won a World Series as the Anaheim Angels. The only reason they went back to Los Angeles is because of marketing. Their desperate attempt to be an LA team is what led to the ridiculous "Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim" when they could've (and should've) just stuck with Anaheim.
  6. The new helmet doesn't have to be in the style guide, but the jerseys the helmet is going with do. That's why popular throwbacks like the Creamsicles or Eagles kelly aren't happening this year.
  7. Presumably Seattle would have to get permission from the Blazers (or pay a territorial fee). I'd like to see KC (or any city that isn't Vegas, really) but there's no way the NBA turns down that market with the success of the Knights and Raiders. Personally, I've wanted Vancouver to get a second chance for a while now. The Grizzlies were done dirty and the way Vancouver has grown makes me think it could fit nicely in the NBA. Ownership would be the hard part presumably.
  8. Yes! I'm loving this. A nice and refined plate that is a big improvement on the one we've had for 40 years. Nice work!
  9. Alex Bowman will be running the Ally Better Together colors at Sonoma this weekend featuring the progress flag. I personally was hoping for a little more but I'm beyond excited to see the rainbow colors on any car. If we can get multiple weekends of red white and blue then we can have a few cars running rainbow colors in June.
  10. It's crazy to me that this guy is not only a) advocating for players to wear undershirts that are showing and b) using that to compliment the most worthless jersey in the NFL.
  11. I'm actually a big proponent of using off-white, but I want it to be cream, not the gross gray that bone is. My dream team to do this would be the Browns.
  12. An American team won the Grey Cup more recently than a Canadian team won the Stanley Cup.
  13. Thank you for those O's updates! Their orange jersey is my favorite in all of baseball. Adding white to the black set makes it actually a good jersey. I'm not really feeling the number font on these unfortunately, maybe it's just because I'm not used to it but it feels too thin and the curves and fancy serifs don't seem to fit the brand.
  14. I'm sure it's true. Seattle was a given since the Sonics first left and Vegas only makes sense given its rapid rise in sporting circles (earned or not). I'm sure we'll see expansion announced soon (after the next media deal is when I heard) and Seattle and Vegas will be fast-tracked to the top. I don't see them starting play until like 27/28, especially if expansion does wait until after the media deal.
  15. But... the black helmet also has gold on it. The only set without gold is the white one. Maybe they'll swap decals out?
  16. Big fan of what you've done for Arizona and Atlanta. I really like the sand and off-white jerseys for the D-Backs and I'm a big fan of swapping the tomahawk for a firefighter's axe. I think swapping navy for black is a lateral move, but it's a positive in terms of reducing the amount of RWB teams in MLB. Great work as always, definitely looking forward to the rest!
  17. I like the Permablue initiative but the jerseys are ugly every year. Surely there's a way to use that material to make a normal-looking jersey for each team - perhaps the default color but with blue highlights?
  18. It's a people mover system, like what you'd find at Disney World. Specifically, it's a Bombardier Innovia APM 300 - an upgraded model of what you'd see at DFW or indeed SFO. In fact, it's the first 300 series installed in the US. I'm looking forward to it, taking the bus to the bus center or the C Line was kind of a pain. (A 300 series in Bangkok)
  19. Most old football uniforms are not as good as they are made out to be. Giants, Raiders, Steelers, Packers, all fine-to-good uniforms that are lauded as some of the best. The Cowboys' mismatched nightmare is the biggest offender of this in my book.
  20. For all the sabotage it endured, LA's public transit is actually pretty solid. I can get pretty much anywhere I need to within a couple hours from USC. Certainly better than the one straight line Charlotte offers. LA's issue is that it's been built off of the idea of everyone owning cars, making it a nightmare to drive in or walk in. The suburban single-family neighborhoods that dominate land outside of urban centers are nightmares for building public transit and connecting different parts of the metro.
  21. The SATX logos are ultimately kinda pointless but that Texas logo is actually pretty good. I like it a lot more than the SA ball they had been using.
  22. When you upload an image to Imgur, you get different options to copy the image: select "Direct Link" then paste that link in the Forum's text box. It should automatically embed itself.
  23. Every team does this - the Yankees literally just did the same thing for a game against the O's, which isn't even a playoff game. It only goes viral when a Southern hockey team does it because "oh southern teams need to block out opposing fans to get a full arena of their fans".
  24. I see they're using PDX for Portland, maybe this means we see CLT for Charlotte? I don't hate the design, certainly seen worse from the NBA.
