  1. Well, it's not black, it's purple. I hate the primary court they use now with the awful tonal honeycomb pattern, the one before it was leagues better. On the whole it's just another misstep by a front office used to making them.
  2. Digging Cleveland, a nice, classic set that's nothing special but doesn't need any major changes. That said, I do think having two green alts is ultimately kinda pointless, maybe try making one of them white or even cream? I think mixing it up in some way would be nice. The updates to Brooklyn are excellent, keeps what made the set work while making the right updates. So great to see you back at it and excellent work as always!
  3. Yuck. Every time the Hornets change courts it's a downgrade. I hate that "partial primary" logo they're using inside the 3-point arc and I hate the silhouette logo as well. I do like the basketball at the free throw line as a nod to the old court but why are they getting rid of the honeycomb wood pattern? It would tie in really well to the new Statement jersey.
  4. I think the Hornets set is a miss, the purple set should just be a color swapped version of the home/road. So glad CHA is gone, not feeling the hexagon pattern - the only time I've seen the Hornets use it and it work for me is on the court. Boring set that unfortunately matches the team's modern branding, but an upgrade over what came before.

  6. The logo is obviously better without that awful wordmark, but it still reads like an A. I get it's the arch but with the rivers joining underneath it it reads like nothing but an A. The only thing this team got right was that pink color and even then the stupid inclusions of yellow and gray drag it all down. A more direct translation of St. Louis' flag still would've been the way to go. I hope they can bring their brand around with good kits because pink and navy is a gorgeous color scheme that should be used more often.
  7. Yep the Panthers' road look has always been white/white/blue. They've worn silver pants with the white jersey once, in 1998(?) against the Colts. I don't know why but we haven't seen blue socks since like Week 9 of 2021 and I really don't understand why. Blue socks are honestly the only pair we need.
  8. Well, yes, but it's a bit cliche for me to mention them
  9. Interesting, I knew the rights to the history and trophies stayed in Seattle but I thought that included the name and colors like the Cleveland deal did. There's no way that the league lets Bennett just sit on the name, right? The Seattle SuperSonics is like the Cleveland Browns or Winnipeg Jets - it has to be that name otherwise it's incomplete.
  10. Supposedly 14 new Statement editions were found in the files of NBA 2K23. Love the Grizzlies one, beyond disappointed that the Hornets one isn't pinstriped.
  11. I didn't realize Madden had the undershirts showing as well. Shows just how prevalent that is. What a shame.
  12. Buffalo vs. LA Rams New Orleans vs. Atlanta Cleveland vs. Carolina San Francisco vs. Chicago Pittsburgh vs. Cincinnati Philadelphia vs. Detroit Indianapolis vs. Houston New England vs. Miami Baltimore vs. NY Jets Jacksonville vs. Washington NY Giants vs. Tennessee Kansas City vs. Arizona Las Vegas vs. LA Chargers Green Bay vs. Minnesota Tampa Bay vs. Dallas Denver vs. Seattle
  13. I'm pretty sure you heavily hinted at this a while ago, but one of those new Statements is Charlotte's, right? We've had our current one for like three or four years and I'm itching for a purple pinstriped jersey.
  14. BFBS, city abbreviation, black on black numbers, right-aligned numbers, what a mess. I don't hate horizontal stripes on basketball jerseys but this is a disaster.
  15. Nashville's can be expanded, but Charlotte's is sandwiched into a city block and thus can't be expanded without blocking off major parts of the road. It's a shame, too, because (IMO) Truist Field has the best view in the minors. That's not to say there aren't still places to build a stadium Uptown, it just can't be an expanded Truist Field.
  16. Any new Seattle team owns the rights to the name, colors, and history of the Sonics (officially they'll share the history with the Thunder), so there's no way it won't be a green and gold Seattle SuperSonics return.
  17. No, it's a prediction. One that I'd never see coming true, given the relatively low impact Ric Flair left on the city and the general design ideals of the current team. In terms of new Statements, we should be seeing a new Hornets one, right? I've got my money on a purple pinstriped set but knowing this team it'll be like the old Statement, completely mismatched (bonus points if it says CHA or Buzz City!).
  18. Second guess is the Invaders.
  19. I believe it's the Wranglers?
  20. I actually kinda like the "ink drop" ones, I just wish the conference wasn't on there. Who cares what conference the team's in?
  21. Maybe if it was a brand new team, but the old one returning gives it a pass in my opinion. Obviously I don't speak for everyone but I don't see a problem with it.
  22. I really dig the primaries. I don't think there's anything wrong with "Whalers" (in the same way the Houston Oilers returning would be fine) but since that's not reflected on the jerseys it doesn't matter. Not sure if I like the small outlines on the logo but the color balance is great. A great set for a classic team.
  23. See, I was wondering if the preseason did count. I checked Jacksonville because it feels like they wear teals a lot in the preseason and in 2019, they wore teal twice in the preseason then three times in the regular season. So I'm pretty sure the Panthers have been gaslighting themselves into less alternate games than they could have.
  24. Is the debate over what is or isn't a sport a sport
