eliasrappaport
I find it interesting how grey is now being used by so many teams in addition to their main colors as a border or outline color. Now it seems like the Browns are moving to that as well. Do you guys like it? Do you think it's a fad?I, personally, think it depends on the team. For example, I like it on the KnicksBut I think it hurts what is a really nice look on the Wizards...I think it severely hurts the Blazer's classic lookNBA Teams that use grey as an accent color on their (primary) uniforms: 5/30Atlanta HawksIndiana PacersNew York KnicksPortland TrailblazersWashington WizardsNBA Teams that use grey on their uniforms at all: 13/30Atlanta HawksDallas MavericksHouston RocketsIndiana PacersMinnesota TimberwolvesNew York KnicksOrlando MagicPhoenix SunsPortland TrailblazersSacramento KingsSan Antonio SpursToronto RaptorsWashington WizardsNBA Teams that use grey on their logos: 15/30Atlanta HawksCharlotte HornetsDallas MavericksIndiana PacersMilwaukee BucksMinnesota TimberwolvesNew York KnicksOrlando MagicPhiladelphia 76ersPhoenix SunsPortland TrailblazersSacramento KingsSan Antonio SpursToronto RaptorsUtah JazzHalf of the NBA uses grey in their logos and the majority of them are for no good reason (76ers, Jazz, Hornets, etc)Grey has become the new black in the NBA. IceCap
I don't like it. I think it muddles what could be great, bold schemes. shaydre1019
Rockets have a black dropshadow on their logo, so technically it's an accent on their homes.

hawk36
Has to be used smart. In the Blazers case I like its use on the stripes but use of it on the wordmark muddies it. Design Hovie Studios
DustDevil61
It's mostly unnecessary. It muddles up color schemes more often than not, though the Knicks (and to a lesser extent the Blazers) are an exception to the rule.I know the Jazz use some shade of gray grey gray (whatever ) on apparel/promotions/posters/banners (mostly to outline logos or for other non-jersey-related apparel), but it's nowhere to be found on the uniforms. I think that's more of a smart move than not, though inconsistency of colors between logos and uniforms always irked me. Maybe they could incorporate it on a 4th jersey or use it like they do most of the time (outlining), but it would still likely muddle up their look.At least in Utah's case, they could replace that gray with a light blue in an effort to tie in the 1997-2010 looks/color schemes while minimalizing any effect on the current set, seeing as the gray's hardly noticeable. But it would kinda mess up darker, almost antiquated aesthetic they have going on now. http://i.imgur.com/Pyc5qRH.gifhttp://i.imgur.com/RDXvxFE.gif LED Sig Credits to packerfan21396

AnPheitseog
A note, i hate grey in ruining what i believe is a great cap logo for the pirates in the NL, and it clutters up the sabres look in the NHLBut in regards to the NBA?It can be okay when it is placed right next to a logo, but have any gap inbetween (see pirates and sabres) itll be terrible Formerly known as DiePerske

Gothamite
That's neither silver nor gray: it's white. I agree that it looks like and ruins one of the best caps in all of baseball, but that's not a "gray problem". The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog. AnPheitseog
It honestly, in person on the caps looks like grey to me.Regardless of this, see Sabres. Formerly known as DiePerske
AnPheitseog
YOu know, im derailing the thread an i mean to do no such thing.Grey can look good as an accent, and I honestly believe as a primary can help the team colours pop, but it can make teams look really bad too Formerly known as DiePerske

Same can be said bout the old Rockets and Hawks when they both had Red Yellow schemes but Hawks had black.
