FinsUp1214 Posted January 21, 2016 Share Posted January 21, 2016 The Rose Bowl has boasted some really great matchups in it's history: 1996: Northwestern vs USC 1998 - Washington State vs Michigan 1999: Wisconsin vs UCLA 2011: Wisconsin vs TCU Of course, there are plenty more great matchups over the 100+ years of Rose Bowls, but those are probably my favorites. Based on your location, you probably hear a lot more rumors than I do--I actually haven't heard much. If anything, I'd prefer BYU keep navy blue as their primary color and save the royal blue for special occasions. Otherwise, I think people will tired of the royal blue really fast when they realize that royal blue is a color that is hard to pull off on a daily basis in civilian life, whereas you could wear navy blue every day and no one would ever notice. Loved those simple purple Northwestern helmets with the stylized N on the sides. Wish they'd go back to wearing those full-time or close to it. I wonder what the Rams throwback yellow-gold and royal blue would look like against the Houston Texans? We already saw how they look against Tampa Bay. This needs to be shown as a current uniform, just add white pants and just a single stripe and we got a good combo! Since they are back in LA again, how about it?
