officeglenn
I was just watching SportsnetNews, and they showed a goal scored by Wayne Rooney of Manchester United against Middlesbrough in an FA Cup match today.Goalkeeper Roy Carroll booted the ball upfield, Louis Saha headed it on, and Rooney volleyed it into the top corner past the 'Boro keeper.I'm still picking my jaw up off the floor. Best goal I've seen in a long time.

Breakwood
meh Rooneys overrated. I've seen better goals like Ibrahimovich's last year for Ajax where he went throught probably 5 player then struck it past the keeper.
officeglenn
Oh yeah, absolutely Ibrahimovic's goal was spectacular as well. I just loved the fact that, on Rooney's goal, the ball never touched the ground after coming off Carroll's foot.To both of them, I humbly bow down. Beckham, now theres a man that was overrated. Still though, Van Nisterooy will always be my favourite Man United player. Good pace and accurate shots and passes. Ibrahimovich is great to watch as well, but I find the Dutch game very different from the Premiership.

paynomind
Yeah, seriously.... If you dont like soccer, just shut the fuk up, and move on. Everyone has sports they love, and sports they couldn't care less about. When I see an NBA thread, i dont go poking my smart-ass nose in there, simply to bash the folks who care... i leave it alone. Take note - no one gives a sheet that you dont like soccer, so STFU

Saintsfan
P*rtsm**th I see you have your language filter on. It was quite funny listening to the crowd whilst watching the saints p*rtsm**th game on live TV (This was saturday lunchtime on the BBC) Some of the chants musthave left the censors quivering! Its certainly a lively rivalry!!
-kj
One nice thing of being home all day is getting to watch a lot of EPL on Fox Sports World. I haven't yet seen the goal in question, but Derby's goal against Fulham was a thing of beauty.

ColeJ
you should all learn a lesson from me... the only sports i don't actively follow are college sports... and tennis...and somethings, like nascar, i don't get into either, but don't consider them really sports. (don't hate me)but soccer is a really great sport. during the hockey lockout, i've found myself gravitating more towards my rovers than i do towards the mavericks, and that's a big suprise to me.
