Cujo
I'm thinking this thread probably belongs in a different fourm. The Yanks kinda sucked before 1996 (since I had strated following baseball as a kid) so I never really cared for them until they started buying players like Boggs and Fielder (that list now goes on forever), and from there buying several World Series'. bosox
Wouldn't Red Sox fans really hope an asteroid hits the stadium where the Mets and Yankees play each other? When no one's playing their and it is empty, then maybe. Exactly.I can't say that I completely hate the Yankees. I mean, some of my favorite players play for them (Tino Martinez, Jason Giambi, Bernie Williams). People who say they buy their players, uhm...isn't that the point of the game? To get the best overall team? Why is it their fault that they have the money and power to go out and try to get the biggest stars. There you have it, from a Red Sox fan. And from a Mets fan. When no one's playing their and it is empty, then maybe. Hey don't take it to seriously he was obviously joking. And what's wqrong with shelling out money to support your team? And whats wrong saying "this is the year we'll win?"It is just a game, but Im guessing most of us here are hardcore sports fans. And oh yeah I hate the Yankees too, but Im getting sick of the Red Sox. I know that everyone wants to see them on TV, but every week? Its either The Yanks or the Sox, and maybe an occasional Cubs or Mets.I want to let Fox know they can mix it up sometimes! See, for me its nice to see the Sox on national TV, because I can't usually see them otherwise. But, I would love to see teams like the Royals, Mariners, A's, Rangers, Devil Rays, just to name a few. Seadragon76
Now that is cool sig, Ryan. Can you make one with the AL West standings for me?Anyway, as for the sig: Wow. This guy doesn't realize there's still 3 months left in the season. Hell, we haven't reached the All Star break yet. As much I hate the Yanks as well, you can't really count them out until you hear the words "They are officially eliminated from playoff contention." RyanB06
Yeah, I think I can do an AL West one. Shouldn't be too hard. You are right about one thing: while it's great indulging in a little schadenfreude regarding the team we love to hate (I know, big word, look it up ), it is still early enough that the Yankees could (though not looking too likely) make a run and get back in the race. But for now, we can - and should - hate all we want. Nothing wrong with that!
