Messier is rumored to make a possible Edmonton return in that story as well. Only thing is, as the story points out, the Oilers are starting to run out of precious cap space, so if they did sign Kariya, they'd probably have to trade someone else away. It now looks like Edmonton's goalies will be Markkanen and Ty Conklin. I'm not really all that psyched about those guys being our only options.
