Oilers express interest in Kariya: TSN.ca

That would be great!! Messier is rumored to make a possible Edmonton return in that story as well. :)

Only thing is, as the story points out, the Oilers are starting to run out of precious cap space, so if they did sign Kariya, they'd probably have to trade someone else away.

But who would Edmonton trade??

Their roster is pretty much Pronger, Peca, and Smyth. Everyone else is a scrub.

As an Oiler fan, i don't care either. I never liked Ulanov when he was here the first time. <_<

Speaking as a Rangers fan, I have zero use for Ulanov to begin with...seeing he was abjectly useless. I mean, I think I've seen traffic cones that cover the blueline better than that stiff...

Markkanen's not that bad of a backup for you guys though...thought he did OK when he was in NY...

It now looks like Edmonton's goalies will be Markkanen and Ty Conklin. I'm not really all that psyched about those guys being our only options. It'll be sweet if we can land Kariya, but if that happens that'd leave us with no room for any upgrades at the goaltender position.

Sure, was! After the game where Moore injured Naslund, Brad May was the one who said "Moore has a bounty on his head"

This is a very interesting move

(Thibault now likely to be traded, starting the domino effect unless he ends up in Tampa Bay)

If I were the Bolts, I'd take him. I mean John Grahame is good, but it'd be nice to have a good backup too.
