VitaminD
Stole this from another thread...Also, just found a link about this:http://tsn.ca/nhl/news_story.asp?id=132338 Call me a prophet!!ESPN also has the story. EJ Hradek did a feature: "Christmas in Philly".'Scuse me, I've gotta go stake out a bit of sidewalk on South Broad, down by St. Agnes Hospital. Find me there until about June.*pinches self* Whoa! It IS real, BBTV! "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... Won't get to be a part of it... In old New York..."In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.

BCBoy
Mike Modano will stay in Dallas after all. So Modano left a 4 year/22 million dollar contract on the table by the Chicago Blackhawks to end up with a ???5 year/17.5 million??? contract with the Dallas Stars, I geuss he wanted to show loyalty to Dallas. Even Minnesota and Phoenix looked to have better offers

FiddySicks
Just in on radio conversation with JRHe said the LA Kings deal is NOT official, he is also looking at the Phoenix Coyotesbut is likely at this point to end up in LA unless Phoenix offers something better it is true, Phoenix and Philly are still trying to work out a last minute deal to get JR back to Phoenix. He has said that he wants to come back here. Oh i wish Philly were able to keep both JR and Forsberg. Being a Flyers fan I love this deal (considering the whole Lindros fiasco), but I really have to say that i love JR and wish he could stay in Philly with Forsberg. rmackman
You know, not like this really matters, but deep down I wanted him to sign with the New Jersey Devils. That and then have him wear #6 so that the two sleeves plus is back made it SATAN 666 with the Devils logo on the front. I would have bought that jersey if he'd have done that.[Mod edit: ONE THREAD FOR NHL MOVES.] "Every morning in Africa, a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must run faster than the fastest lion or it will be eaten. Every morning in Africa, a lion wakes up. It knows it must outrun the slowest gazelle or it will starve. It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle. When the sun comes up, you'd better be running." - Unknown | Check out my articles on jerseys at Bacon Sports

BBTV
I heard Hitchcock on the radio thismorning stating that he hopes there is a way for JR to stay, and that JR said he would like to stay and play wing on Primeau's line. If anyone can work that out, it is the Flyers, but this cap thing makes it very tough.Incidently, two years ago, in anticipation of this cap, high-ranking officials in the Flyers organization began having regular meetings with Joe Banner and the cap guys from the Eagles to learn how they are so good at managing the cap. I guess it is starting to pay off! "The views expressed here are mine and do not reflect the official opinion of my employer or the organization through which the Internet was accessed."
