pcgd
How has nobody mentioned the Stanford Tree of the Syracuse orange thing? The Tree is awesome. Didn't it used to be a drunk student who would build it him (or her) self and then get into real fights with the other mascot? I think so.Other than that...Barry Melrose is a good mascot. How can the Syracuse guy go into the mascot hallf of fame if no one knows his name? Well other than me, and the people who go to Syracuse. But Im sure half of them dont even know it. Its Otto the orange in case you were wondering. He's still classic. It was tounge in cheek more than anything.
winghaz
I don't mean to toot the Vikings' horn here, but the Vikes really did have a cool mascot when they had that guy dressed in furs, a Viking helmet, a sword and shield prowling the sidelines. He should be considered for the hall of fame.
Gary
the second class of Mascots will be inducted on August 15th, my question is who should be the second class? The Mascot Hall of Fame already includes, The Gorilla, The San Diego/Famous Chicken, and the Phillies Phanatic. My choice would be Mr. Met and Youppi. (buzz is on the right, boomer on the left) Judging by the eyelashes, Boomer is a "Boomette." [Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008 Attention: In order to obtain maximum enjoyment from your stay at the CCSLC, the reader is advised that the above post may contain large amounts of sarcasm, dry humour, or statements which should not be taken in any true sort of seriousness. CZzyzx41
hehe...I read that at first as "Billy the Martin". Dude was crazy for sure but I'm not sure I'd go so far as to call him a mascot. There's a ton of deserving mascots. Louie the Seal, The Friar, Mr Met, Mr Red, Youppi, Swoop, Sparti, Montezuma, the FSU Seminole, Duke Blue Devil, Otto the Orange and a ton more that I can't even remember. -DanielCheck Out My Podcast!
