MarkAtnip Posted October 28, 2005 Share Posted October 28, 2005 I am all for some of the newer design concepts, but in my humble (and often worthless) opinion, the NFL would be well served by holding onto the more traditional styles. Allow the High Schools, the Miami's and the XFL to debut the wild uniforms, but in terms of the NFL, tradition and throwbacks are king. You take some of the worst looking jerseys in the world and add these crazy ass lines in seemingly random places that would normally get you lynched on this board, but you always find a way to make it work. Yes, it's beautiful, one of the best uses of gold on a sports uniform ever. But it clashes with the yellow in the Maryland flag and the Ravens' crest. In this case, I would prefer to see yellow instead of gold, even though, as I said, this concept is one of the best-looking gold uniforms ever. Second, the raven's head on the left side of the helmet, with the backwards B, doesn't fly. How about the raven's head on the right side and the shield on the left?
