TwoRsAndTwoLs
I was just thinking to myself, y'know Japanese baseball and how the team names have a corporate addition? For example, the Orix Blue Wave or the Nippon Ham Fighters or the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks?Well what if we took Major League Teams, traced back their ownership (for instance, the Mariners are majority owned by Nintendo), and splice the corporate logo with the team's logo?I'll probably do some work on this eventually, but I just wanted to throw the idea out now. Maybe it'd be a decent contest or something. Every Fifth Day is a

nafsder2003
Kind of along the same lines, I thought it would be funny to do some corporate basketball designs (but not with the actual team owners, just things that sound similar: Burger King for Sacramento Kings, KFC for Kentucky Colonels). In fact, my entry to the redesign the ABA conpetition was going to be an illustration of Colonel Sanders playing basketball. Unfortunately, I didn't finish in time and I still haven't gotten around to cleaning it up (especially the face area as well as making the blue outlines more uniform). Anyway, don't want to be a thread hijacker, but since this seems to kidn of fit under the same thread, here was the logo I started:

TwoRsAndTwoLs
This thread was practically meant to be hijacked, so no harm done.Isn't it Carl Pohlad of the Twins who has a ton of stock in Wal-Mart? In that case they'd become the Minnesota Wal-Mart Twins or something like that. Two for one sale! hehe.... stupid wal-mart. gueman
The Asbestos Class Action Plaintiff and Tobacco Settlement Orioles. The owner of the Orioles Peter G. Angelos Esq. made most of his fortune with the class action lawsuit involving asbestos. I bet the folks who were part of the class didn't even get enough to buy a ticket for the O's. He also was a "consultant" to the State of Maryland when they helped mug the tobacco industry and made $300 mil or something like that. ArsenalGnnr
I actually did this a couple of weeks ago. I'm not advocating sponsorship on Uniforms but I was bored. Some of the Sponsors make sense, some don't.If they did this and eliminated commercial breaks I wouldn't be that upset.
