02Rover
Aggies are wearing all-maroon against TU today. Very Beautiful (last time they wore 'em, they beat Notre Dame by three TDs). Very ugly look, as is the case with any all-one-color look is. The Ags have a nice look. Why mess with it??
pittfan11
I disagree. I think it looks nice, because the helmet matches with the pants and jersey.
doafhat
The Kool Aid drinkers should stick with maroon on white, it's a better look.
SportsmanTO
I like the all maroon look myself. I know AOCs are very overrated by some people but depending on the team it can look great.Personally I love the Bills AOC home uniform. I wish that would be the permanent homes tho I hear they're going retro which is even better IMO.
vike09
Aggies are wearing all-maroon against TU today. Very Beautiful (last time they wore 'em, they beat Notre Dame by three TDs). Ags wore all-maroon last year against Texas Tech, 2 years ago against Utah(I think), and 3 years ago against Pitt. The Notre Dame game your talking about was in 2001. I was at both the ND an Tech game. They beat Tech in Overtime.

FiddySicks
Was I seeing things or did some players have "The 12th Man" on their sleeves? It has something to do with Texas A&M's all volunteer student kickoff team. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) vike09
Aggie TraditionsThat site describes some of Texas A&M's traditions. The 12th Man Team is a team of walk ons that wouldn't normally play.
vicfurth
Although I think it was mentioned that R.C. Slocum did away with the completely 12th man coverage team when they were scored on. Now it's only one that wears a #12 jersey.

CS85
The 12th man story is pretty cool. I like those old-timey stories that would never happen today. PackerBadger
I have a problem with these jerseys that has nothing to do with monochrome. Unusual that you could see all their padding underneath the jerseys. I realize they're in Texas, but still, a bit less mesh would look better. tommytimp
A&M has one of the best unis in college football when it's maroon on white. All-maroon, IMO, not so much. That's a great picture, though. Triumph! rainmaker17
Wow we squeaked out of that one. That's why they call it rivalry week I guess. Texas should bang Colorado like a screen door next week, especially after the way the Buffs caved in at home to Nebraska. Hopefully the A&M game was a wake-up call (much like The Ok St. game was a few weeks ago).Back on topic: I think the Gigs look the best wearing the maroon top, white pants and the current helmet with the white facemask. Hell put the names back on the jerseys too...they look weird w/o them. The Big 12 unis that really deserve bashing are Okie State....dumbest number font in the history of organized sports (I don't count the XFL as an organized sport, so save your Orlando Rage blasts). TX Tech has a cool helmet logo but they can't leave the uniform alone. I liked it back in the day when they wore a black helmet, red jersey and white pants. Their current roads look fine (black/white/black) but I hate the home version..monochrome fever, kids, catch it!

MarkAtnip
The pictures from the game show how bad this trend is. BOTH teams monochrome, both teams with generic block lettering on the FRONT of thier jerseys in the same place with thier team name on it.It looks like the local pee wee league. The white team playing the maroon team. Other teams in the NEW BIG 12 include the Green team and Acrue.

Other teams in the NEW BIG 12 include the Green team and Acrue. I'm not sure what UT can do with their road uniforms. I've heard them called 'feminine' or whatever. Orange pants would suck on the level of 'DA U'. An orange helmet would be equally bad. Adding black trim..let's not go there. When I think monochrome, I think team color...not the whites.
