The Griz as the Pros

why does everyone wear their throwbacks against dallas?

they're all ugly.

and they really clash with the mavs modern design... making the throwbacks look even more tacky.

i wouldn't mind if the grizzlies ever actually WORE those jerseys... or if the bulls had ever actually worn those jerseys...

i don't like this new trend one bit.

I think they look good. Is it me, or do the Mav's jerseys look kind of dated already?

Probably because Nike threw this uniform on to all of it's national team uniforms and added the reflector at the collar. I like Dallas's look but the knockoffs that have come about trying to copy them? UGhh!

My question is simply why would they want to commemorate one of the worst franchises in the history of the ABA?

Im really not into the whole throwback thing. I mean there are some throwbacks I like such as jerseys the actual franchise wore before.

If the Grizzlies had worn an old Vancouver shirt I'd be ok with it but the Pros? Just because you're in the same city doesn't mean you're the same franchise...its getting freaking ridiculous but then again I don't really follow basketball so have at it NBA!

lol I do love how the Dallas Mavs player is getting kneed in the gut though

That's nothing new - MLB has been doing those sorts of throwbacks for over a decade.

In fact, in what I believe was the very first throwback (hosted by the White Sox), the Milwaukee Brewers wore uniforms from a different team.

Nope, the Brewers wore their current (at the time) road unis while the Sox broke out the 1917 threads.

Strange how I can remember that clear as a bell, 15 years removed from it, yet I couldn't tell you what I had for breakfast today.
