Colts Steelers

After today, if the Steelers play more like the Plastics and lose to Denver, theyll fall even further into my :censored: list.

You can count on the Bill Cowher led Steelers to blow another AFC title game again and again until Cowher gets fired or eventually dies.

But...this one is on the road....would that matter? lol!

Cower lost 4 of 5 AFC title games at home but maybe the luck changes on the road?Hope so but doubt it.

He's also 0-1 on the road (1996). There's no way around it. Cowher can't win when it really matters.

I'm pretty sure New Englans beat Jacksonville for the '96 season.

That they did...though the game was played in '97...not to go against what you said, because it was the 1996 season.

Pittsburgh played New England in the divisional round that year (in the greatest fog since Philly/Chicago).

Cowher lost to the Chargers (94-95), the Broncos (97-98), and the Patriots twice at home in AFCC games...and won in the 95-96 season

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

The Plastics?

What? Would you prefer Saran Wrap?

WSU151  Did you see Roethlisberger's mountain man look? Fugly.

Put Plummer, Orton, and Roethlisberger together in the same room...yikes. Mirrors wouldn't stand a chance.

Well thats how it should be with football players

Do you beleive in miracles!? :boogie:

No

Bill Cowher will outchoke Jake the Snakebit Plummer. (Although the Jesus/Mountain man look seems to be working for Plummer this year.)

This is the greatest day of all time. The days of the cleancut QB are over. Hooray!

I believe tin foil would be better suited for a team called the Steelers. :P

I honestly wonder what the legacies of Dungy and Manning are gonna be when its all said and done. Good but couldnt win anything meaningful? Yeah, id say thats about it.

Its certainley tarnished and tanished to the point where a Super Bowl is the only thing that would restore it.

Worst officiated game I have ever seen. No call on pass interference, no call on the offsides/false start?!?!?!?!? Overturned interception? Easily the worst collection of calls EVER. If the Steelers would have lost it would have be one of the greatest injustices in NFL history.

I agree - that was TERRIBLE officiating. I'm a firm believer in "what goes around comes around" and that for every call that goes against you is eventually evened out but WHOA. What lame excuse did that Ref give about Polamalu's right knee? If he hacksawed his right knee off after the play it wouldn't change the fact that it was a clean pick. At 21-10, the Steelers would have certainly gotten a field goal, icing the game at 24-10. Instead, we were looking at a revitalized Colts offense who tuned it up to 21-18!

Ouch. Do Refs ever get fired or fined?!?

Manning had that rep coming out of college and still can't shake it. QBs get too much blame for evey loss and the losses keep mounting for Manning.

There are a number of good coaches who never won a Super Bowl, so I think Dungy will be looked on a little better.

IDK IMO Dungy's rapidly approaching Denny Green/Marty Schottenheimer territory.

Manning ends up on the short end again despite Cowher's very best effort to blow that game. Yeah the officiating was terrible but look past that and you'll see the real issue. Cowher is an OK coach but he's just another Marty Schottenheimer. good in the regular season, lousy in the playoffs. Next week should be fun. The erratic Plummer vs. The bumbling Cowher. I'll take the Broncos...they're at home and that should be enough.

Can we finally call Peyton Manning what he is? An overated stats machine who can't win big games? I've said it before and I'll say it again. Eli will win a ring long before Peyton does...if he ever does. Dan Marino reincarnated.

I am thinking Carolina is suddenly looking pretty good to win it all. They shredded the vaunted Bears defense with relative ease. They got a better D than Seattle and I don't think Matt Hassleback has the stuff to get over the hump.

Interesting post season so far.

:D

"DESPITE COWHER'S BEST EFFORTS TO BLOW THE GAME"? Are you kidding me? Bettis fumbling on the 2 yardline was a result of Cowher's coaching? Polamalu's interception being overturned was a result of coaching?

Coaching switched up the offense to an early pass attack that confused their defense. Coaching sacked Manning all day long. Coaching got the Steelers to score 14 points in the first quarter.

Coaching knocked off the #1 favorite, and yet you still pick on him? Whatever...nice game against Penn State this year, too. Any comments on Paterno's coaching in that game?

How about Peyton Manning after the game blaming his offensive line way to go Peyton show the same guts you had during the game after the game.

Choke artists are always gonna do stuff like that though. And this is coming from a Peyton Manning fan. Peyton is a choke artist, plain and simple.
