It is time to bring back the blue and gold.When Dan Snyder passed away the Wolves wore burgundy practice jerseys during warmups one game. They had the #19 on them in honor of Dan. goforbroke Posted March 5, 2006 Share Posted March 5, 2006 the current knicks (at the time - so the 2003 knicks) wore patrick ewing jerseys during his halftime retirement ceremony however.. lame as always with the garden - they weren't throwbacks - they were just the current jerseys - which ewing never wore - with number 33's. PM meSabres did this same exact thing for Danny gare retirement night a few months ago. Gare, in his speech, mentioned how cool it was to see so much blue&gold that night. He hinted that it's time to bring it back and the crowd nearly erupted.I've been waiting for the team to wear these blue throwbacks in a game just once. Hasn't happened yet. Well, the last game of the 2003 season the wore the Blue & Gold jerseys (The white home ones). The fans went nuts, and everybody loved it.Now, the plan was to return to this, with a slightly updated logo next season, but i've heard all kinds of things because of the GMs turning down the RBK form fitting jersys and such that we wont see a return to Blue and Gold unitl the 2007-2008 Season.I sure hope not...we'll have to see how this plays out.I my mind, they've got plenty of time - 8 months - to work this out, and get the jeresys out for the 2006-2007 Season...
