Best. College. Football. Announcer. EVER.

Gonna be odd to watch a big matchup without Keith there.

Have to admit though, this year's Rose Bowl was a heck of a way to bow out.

Man, there goes the only guy that I actually like to listen do the play-by-play. What a sad day for college football.

I once had a car but I crashed it. I once had a guitar but I smashed it. I once, wait where am I going with this?

Wathcin' PTI today they also mentioned that he said" I don't want to die in the stadium parking lot." Maybe he has health issues?

I'd hate to see it end like that though.

And didnt he already retire?

Is he just pullin an MJ

He's done for sure. There were a lot of reports after the Rose Bowl that he'd hang 'em up for good after that one.

Great announcer, with ABC losing the big time games next year, that could've been a major factor.

I could listen to him describe paint dry. The best play-by-play in football. period.

It won't be the same without him.

And Keith Jackson could make paint drying sound interesting.

We could all say, "Say it ain't so, Keith," but what the heck. All I can say is good luck in retirement, Keith. May you have many happy years ahead of you.

It was a pleasure to have listened to him, especially with him mainly calling west coast games. To me, he ranks right up there with Vin Scully and Chick Hearn.

I wholeheartely agree, what a way to go out. The homer in me feels honored that his last broadcast saw the Longhorns win it all.

Enjoy your golden years, Mr. Jackson, you've more than earned them.
