whitedawg22 Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 So that's where Steve Irwin's hat ended up. Too soon? oh ,my god ,i strong recommend you to have a visit on the website ,or if i'm the president ,i would have an barceque with the anthor of the articel .
tommytimp Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 it's a good thing the FF logo doesn't get much play beyond the week itself, because there's so little definition in the hat, one might not be able to tell what the hell it is. Tazz013 Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Two words for you...YEEHAW! Boy howdy, I tell you what. Save the slugalo.
DrBear Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 " The 2008 Final Four logo was unveiled in front of hundreds of eighth-grade students from San Antonio's Poe Middle School"...who undoubtedly all said 'I could've done better.'
Burning River Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Why the same old boring font ?? The browns are too dark and almost blend as one.
NJTank Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Ugh thats awful www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
dfwabel Posted September 15, 2006 Author Posted September 15, 2006 As I have had time to digest this logo (as well as a few vodka tonics), I hope the NCAA elects to have the Phoenix Suns style of court with two shades of maple and brown outlining the floor. I don't want to see a brown 3 seconds lane in HD. YUK! I do give them credit for giving San Antonio more of a western image as opposed to the higher hue colors of the "southwest motif" as normal. Sadly, the logo may be similar to when a Final Four comes to Houston in 2011 and possibly Arlington and the new Cowboys Stadium as early as 2013. I know they will not give it to Texas in consecutive years (unless American, Southwest, and Continental are the only airlines flying.)In Cowboys Stadium news, a court ruled today for an elderly woman to receive $2 million for her 4 acres on which the stadium/complex will occupy. The city of Arlington offered her roughly $350,000, then had it appraised for $1.2 millon. She still held out and got her pay day.
Yac12 Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 I am surprised that they didn't go with another Alamo theme. They used it for the NCAA Women's Final Four that was held in S.A. last December.
Cyclopsis Joe Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Eh, it could be worse..they could have the Alamo. I don't speak for democrats, democrats don't speak for me.

iowahoo Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Is the bottom part, where it says San Antonio, meant to be a belt?If so, who's damn belt is off and why is it on the NCAA's logo????
powersurge Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Crocodile Dundee wore a hat. (whispers) So did Chuck Norris......careful Chuck Norris can hear you at ALL TIMES!!!! I find Chuck Norris boring and uninteresting. happy to hear that didn't know we asked ya
sbsofa06 Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Nothing like reinforcing those southern stereotypes. San Antonio is the fiesta city?http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt...6lr%3D%26sa%3DNNBA All-Star Weekend was a better representation of the region albeit with a busy logo.
