Is that a price sticker on the Wild player's stick blade? I know from purchasing my own sticks that that is where the sticker normally is, seems odd that it would be on an NHL player's stick or not taken off. Or is it something else?

Now is as good a time as any to profess my love of the Wild's uniforms and color palette. Good eye on the price sticker. If it breaks I wonder if he could take it back without a reciept?

Dr. Kelso: My son is a big baseball fan. Not so much playing it, but more the designing and sewing of uniforms.

Tyler: That's neat.

Dr. Kelso: No, it's not.

I thought all pro models had a barcode of their serial number when they left the factory. I was chatting with the equipment guy for the Iowa Stars and he was telling me how he had to send in the serial numbers off broken sticks to the manufacturers. This may be a barcode sticker of the serial number that never got removed.

Anybody else notice the helmet sticker on that Wild player is facing backwards??? I mean, I know that's how it's oriented in the main logo, but, still--I don't know that hockey helmets do the same thing with their helmet stickers as NFL helmets do. Just thought I'd point that out.

I actually have a pro stock Easton Synergy stick, and it doesn't have a barcode. My friend has several from when he played hockey for Wayne State(D-1) and none of his have a barcode. I got mine from him, in case you're wondering...I didn't somehow come across a pro player and get a stick.

Ive heard somewhere that because of the huge amount of equipment teams have some professional sports teams put an equipment list into a laptop and scan it in when its moved from city to city, and if anything is missing the computer lets them know them so they can grab extra if they need to. The thing is, I have no idea where I heard this, hell, I may have just dreamed it, but it seems that would make a bit of sense to me.

It could be an asset tag, but most that I've seen companies using are generally smaller.

Oops! Sorry about that, I guess the NHL uses a generic link to the 'photo of the day' and it gets frequently outdated. Didn't save the picture to my computer so sorry if you missed out.
