Gothamite
Not bad.I myself liked the "Blueticks", but this is a very solid minor league name and logo. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.
Brian in Boston
I preferred the Aiken Blueticks, myself... but felt that Aiken Foxhounds was a solid second choice. The South Coast League continues to unveil team identity packages that are marking it as one of the - if not the - best branded professional sports leagues, top to bottom, in North America. Brian in Boston
I don't know that I'd go that far.I love the league logo:The Redfish logo is good, too:But then there's this:and this:And all of a sudden they don't look like the best branded professional sports league at all....To each their own. Top-to-bottom, I think that you'd be hard-pressed to find a league with a group of logos that was more well-designed and stylistically-varied.All of the teams' names are locally-relevant. In my opinion, a big plus. Each team's logo is rendered in a unique style. The mascot in Aiken's logo is rather cartoon-like. Bradenton's logo features imagery that has the retro feel of a 1930s or 1940s citrus company mascot. Charlotte County's logo features a realistically-rendered mascot. Macon's logo eschews a logo character and instead symbolically communicates aspects of the team name in the wordmark.Combined with the retro league logo, I feel that the branding of the four South Coast League team marks that have been thus far unveiled are at least as good as those of the Golden Baseball League... which I believe lays just as much claim to the "best top-to-bottom" title as the SCL. pointguard4519
Is it just me, or do the hands look like they're placed wrong on the bat? Looks like a very weird grip. I'm assuming the dog is batting right handed? If this is the case, shouldn't the left "hand" be on the bottom? We are one!
Swiss
Hey, if they were named as "Aiken Chukkers"... then their ballpark would get the name of "Polo Grounds"? It's great to be young and a Giant! - Larry Doyle
B-Rich
I still say that foxhound is up to bat and holding the bat improperly, and he hasn't just completed a left-handed swing, either. Then again, because of their canine physiology, maybe dogs playing baseball prefer the leading hand.. er, paw to be on top... I don't know, I've never seen a dog play baseball... It is what it is. Fred T. Jane
I find the lack of a MiG-31 disappointing... [Croatia National Team Manager Slavan] Bilic then went on to explain how Croatia's success can partially be put down to his progressive man-management techniques. "Sometimes I lie in the bed with my players. I go to the room of Vedran Corluka and Luka Modric when I see they have a problem and I lie in bed with them and we talk for 10 minutes." Maybe Capello could try getting through to his players this way too? Although how far he'd get with Joe Cole jumping up and down on the mattress and Rooney demanding to be read his favourite page from The Very Hungry Caterpillar is open to question. --The Guardian's Fiver, 08 September 2008 Attention: In order to obtain maximum enjoyment from your stay at the CCSLC, the reader is advised that the above post may contain large amounts of sarcasm, dry humour, or statements which should not be taken in any true sort of seriousness. sacker12
At least they didn't come up with the Aiken "Breakin' Hearts" and have Billy Ray Cyrus as their mascot.Sorry, I couldn't help but say that.

IronChefShark
should have named them Beagles instead. I'm biased. Beagles are my favorite breed of dog. Then again, a foxhound is basically an overgrown beagle. US state flag concepts
