Just that he spent a good handful of years here and was a fan favorite. Was even captain last season.The Blues cut ties with him to go younger, and rightfully so, and I AM happy for him. Pittsburgh was my pre-playoffs pick to win the Cup, and they came within a couple of games of making good on that pick. We've not seen the last of this crew in the Finals by a longshot. But this was Detroit's year not to collapse in the early rounds for a change, or any rounds at all for that matter. And it's an almost entirely different team from the one that last lifted the Cup in '02, so I doubt this will be the last hurrah for the Red Wings either.Now that hockey season is over, I'm now on my annual 6-week (or thereabouts) sports-fan semi-vacation, to last until mid-July, when I start making preparations in earnest for fantasy football season.One more time... way to go Red Wings, 2008 Stanley Cup champions.
