Oh well, the Sox should manage to avoid Halladay this weekend against Toronto.

Gaston has said if the Jays still have a shot they'll use Halladay on Sunday. 7 GB with 7 games vs Boston... it's a shot :)

Hey, no reason not to go all out for it.

Despite some :censored: ty managing and :censored: tier luck against TB, the Red Sox are playing good baseball right now so it should be a very good series. I'd like to take 3 of the 4, but would settle for a split.

Adam Dunn goes to the Diamondbacks for Pitcher Dallas Buck and two players to be named later

Dunn to Arizona

The two players to be named were revealed as Wilkin Castillo on August 14 -- and Micah Owings today.

The D-Backs wouldn't package Owings with Chad Tracy (a player who they never start) in a deal with Atlanta for Teixera, but they give him away for Dunn??

Jays have split the first two games in Boston; gotta win the last two to make this a real race. Halladay tomorrow.

So tonight's game doesn't really mean much or anything. I'd just throw in the Sept. callups to give some experience for next year.

:upside:

I'd say the Sox have a much better shot at beating our rookie pitcher on 3-days rest tonight than they do beating Halladay tomorrow afternoon. Roy's putting up Cy Young numbers in a Cliff Lee year :(

I can't wait! Hopefully MORE Brew Crew fans show up to these ones! It's not gonna be as hospitable for the Cubbies as it was for the Indians and Angels!

I would think you'd be rooting for the Cubs. The Astros are closer in the standings to Milwaukee than Chicago is. Wouldn't you want to solidify your standing in the Wild Card standings by having your chasing competition be closer to elimination?

Did anyone see that just about half the league got rained out yesterday? That means it will be a baseball lovers dream today with all the double-headers (Minus Cubs Astros).

I was surprised the Phillies and Brewers didn't do the double dip today. Weren't they the only teams that didn't? There was a possibility of going Monday, but they'll play 2 tomorrow.

But on the field the Phils got within 2 games. It's going to be hectic down the stretch with all these teams.

Of course, considering how much tickets cost period, have fun convincing the Brew Crew to show up for a game that the Brewers aren't in.

But yeah...you should be more worried about the Astros.
