(Makes me think of Paper Lion.)Fortunately, I'm a fan of an NFL Team that hasn't quite jumped the shark with their unis (The Browns.) Although Modell came close in '84 and Carmen Policy was run out of Cleveland before he could do more damage.You mean theseThat's close, but the numbers were just like the sleeve stripes. chakfu Posted May 23, 2008 Share Posted May 23, 2008 Interesting thing about NFL alts and throwbacks, there aren't really enough games in an NFL season to really rotate them in and wear them regularly without seeming to frequent. I'm not even a Lions fan, but it bugged me on why on earth they added black... Almost everything in their past looks better than what they've got now. And like others said, black could of been a good scheme, but what they have now looks like a mess. Their colors should always be Honolulu Blue and Silver. No added colors needed. So that's why they reminded me of the Niners.Yes. (Those Jerseys were Awful. Most Browns Fans hated them.) He also came up with the "B-In-The-Football" logo & hired "Duh-wight" Clark as GM (Clark was at the Matt Millen level of stupidity). Thank God Randy Lerner ran him out of town. Policy also alienated the past Browns Players and basically tried to do away with a lot of old Browns Traditions. (I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to put a logo on the helmet.)I wouldn't mind seeing the drop shadow numbers on the current Jerseys since it's part of Browns History (The first team in 1946.)
