Titans' primary jerseys now light blue

The Titans have worn their light blue jerseys well over the years, and in 2008 they?ll wear them a lot more.

They have switched their primary home jersey to light blue after wearing navy blue since 1999. The organization recently notified the NFL of the decision.

The team plans to wear light blue for all of its home games except the preseason opener on Aug. 9 against the St. Louis Rams, and the Nov. 23 regular season game at LP Field against the Jets, when they?ll wear navy. The team?s primary road jersey will remain white.

The Titans had discussed making the change in recent years, but owner Bud Adams just recently decided to make the switch.

Pants can be light blue, navy blue or white.

They are 4-0 over the past two seasons and 7-3 overall since the light blue was first introduced as the ?third jersey? in 2003

------I am really happy they have made this change!

I love the light blue jerseys, but I'm kinda disappointed by this for selfish reasons. I own an authentic Chris Hope light blue jersey, and I've never seen another one. Now, with the light blue jerseys being the primaries, mine won't be unique anymore. ^_^

it semed like they were wearing a different unifom every weekend though. I never liked the all navy blue, or the all light blue home uniforms. I did however prefer the light blue pants on the road that looks sweet! They need to find some consistency tho, I hope they leave the navy pants off when they wear light blue.

Everything old is new again. :D

Not until the Rams revert back to royal blue and athletic gold... ^_^

....and the Broncos back to their sky-ish blue and orange, and the Eagles revert back to kelly and silver...

...oh-and not until Buffalo loses the navy.

*Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. 😁

  • 2 weeks later...

Sorry I'm sort of "necroposting" here but I decided I don't need to create a new thread to ask my question.

What is considered the Titans official home jersey/pants set now?

Light blue jersey/white pants

Light blue jersey/navy pants

Light blue jersey/light blue pants

And not until San Francisco goes back to cherry red. And not until Detroit ditches the black outlining.

I hope within the next few years the Titans ditch the shoulder yoke (Is that the right word? Ehh, screw it. Ima use it anyway) on the powder. When the navy jersey with powder yoke it was easily my favorite jersey in the league. I got one for christmas that year and thats when the start of my sports logo/uni obsession came about. I'm definitely bummed to see it demoted to alt status :(

No pants?

Well, that's one way to elude a defenseman.
