I would have to assumed that a team that played and practiced together all year would be better than a team that just got together 2 weeks ago.

You know I would too.

Good for Canada. Those poor hayseeds really have no lives outside hockey anyway, so it meant more to them, lol.

If only there were some sort of law in America against being stupid. lol.

As an American and a Pens fan Crosby had better redeem himself and win another Cup this June

Or what?

Honestly, I'd rather lose to Ovechkin. At least it'd be someone I already hate. Id be more than happy to forgive him, though, if he gets the Stanley Cup again.

This is not the last we will see of the USA.

One thing's for sure: The "Sid The Kid" nickname just died today, or at least should have. He's captained a Stanley Cup-winning team and now he's scored an Olympic gold-medal-winning goal. He can't be called just a "kid" anymore, not with a straight face anyway.

So on Detroit TV here they are calling the Gold Medal Game the biggest hockey game ever.

I am guessing...

USA/USSR 1980

All are "bigger games" than today's game.

-Dan

For the 329347th time, that was a semifinal game.
