Madden 11 Cover...

Why did they go with just Drew Brees this year, instead of having two players like they did on the Madden '10 cover?

Because they didn't want Madden taking down the two biggest QBs in the game at once.

Those are actual Saints fans on the cover as well. Are they doomed too? B)

I heard that the guy in the middle ALREADY herniated a disk trying to help lift a palette of sodas at work.

Without any knowledge of prior health conditions, but knowledge of your typical Louisiana lifestyle, I wager heart disease will take one of them down.

Because having two people on the cover is stupid.

Why? It's a cover for a video game about... football. So why not have football players? Does it affect the game in even the least way if two, four, or forty players are on the cover?

Will the national media love affair with Saints fans ever end? Anyone care to remind us of what kind of crowds they were drawing pre-Katrina?

Please don't get me started. The Saints have enjoyed remarkable support since they entered the league in '67 - far more than many teams would have received given the relatively small market and their horrid performance on and off the field. Did your team ever have to undo a uni change they'd already started wearing because the front office neglected to clear the change with the league, as the Saints did with the black prototype helmet worn in the '69 preseason? Or lose a 1-point lead with under two minutes left by surrendering a sack for a safety, as the Saints did at Dallas in 1983? Two small examples of the boneheaded crap the old Saints pulled all the time, not to mention the reason no true Saints fan counted their Super Bowl chickens so to speak until the Colts failed on 4th and goal at the end of the game. B) Yet Tulane Stadium and the Superdome were usually full regardless.

Now if you want to argue that their bandwagon has grown ridiculously large, or that there's been classic media overhype about 'Who Dat Nation,' or that some of the fans look like real weirdos, I'm right there with you, but please don't claim that the core fan base hasn't been there long term because that's just plain wrong.
