Rays wearing plaid billed hats

What is interesting to me is that this is on official MLB "Authentic" markings - could plaid actually become part of the Rays' identity?

Edit: Also, forgot to mention, there was a local newscast that showed the Rays primary with plaid inside the normally white diamond.

Wow, that video reminds me why I don't watch News Channel 8. I sat in the obstructed view seats in Game 6 of the ALCS in 2008 when we lost to the Red Sox. Yes, the view was obstructed. (I sat on the first base side.) This is what I saw.

But I really didn't care. I was seeing my favorite team in the postseason, and that was enough for me, and all the other people there.

But really, it's not as bad as everyone says. By no means is it Yankee Stadium. Heck, it ain't even Shea. But as far as a baseball field, it works fine. It doesn't look all that pretty, but when compared to this:

Check along the outfield, literally the whole outfield changed. The beach is now the tbt party deck. Theres a bar in left center, and all the ads and stuff are different. Hell, they added a jumbotv, and a touch tank. They painted nearly everything, too.

Many differences.
