Ez Street
Got this in an email about 5 minutes ago.........It's about an hour until their event and MiLB sent it out already. Oops. Brian in Boston
Hmmmmm. I'd ranked Storm Chasers fourth out of the final nine candidates. Still, seeing this identity package, I have to say that I find it disappointing. The wordmark strikes me as being... meh. The pair of mascots - Vortex, the anthropomorphic tornado and Stormy, the apparent love-child of the Phillie Phanatic and the Grinch - leave a LOT to be desired.I'd hoped for Omaha Omahogs... by a wide margin. If not that, than Omaha Sodbusters. This? It isn't up to the standards I've come to expect from Plan B.

Seadragon76
Just got the same e-mail as well. This catches me by surprise, but the nickname works for the area. Let's face it, twisters are a part of life in the Midwest, so Storm Chasers makes sense in that way.The mascots are just funny. The tornado has a bat for a nose.... A bat! knnhrvy16
I LOVE the name, I think it's fantastic. Certainly something unique and out of the box. I don't think the logos and mascots are that bad, either. I especially love the "O" logo with the bolt. Was this by chance done by Plan B? The mascot logos especially look like something they'd do.EDIT: Nevermind, I just read that it was a Plan B job. The opinions I express are mine, and mine only. If I am to express them, it is not to say you or anyone else is wrong, and certainly not to say that I am right.
BigMac12
I miss the O-royals.Somehow, the noses of the two "mascots" disturb me.

walkerws
I like the logo, but the mascots are just odd. Especially the tornado
The_Admiral
Plan B's sense of whimsy (and anyone else's) tops out at Double-A for me. I sort of expect Triple-A teams to be a smidge more professional than a childlike grinning tornado with a bat for a nose. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Royals Insider
I do like this. The continued relationship with the Kansas City Royals will be signified by this new logo patch on the Storm Chasers home jerseys.
TopCat
Plan B. really eff'd this one up. I'm shocked at how awfully generic this looks. facebook | @thebugcollector
Shumway
I really dig the O-lightning bolt and the tornado individually. Unfortunately, they don't go together at all. Each of the uniforms look like they're for a completely different team.

I sort of expect Triple-A teams to be a smidge more professional than a childlike grinning tornado with a bat for a nose.I'm with you. Gimmicks are fine and great for <=AA, but IMO AAA should be pretty professional. I liked the Phillies Sranton-Wilkes Barre Red Barons identity up until the end, and now they've turned their AAA into a total joke in the form of the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs. It's a shame Ryne Sandberg has to wear that uniform now. Ez Street
I kept thinking, that SC logo also doubles as a nice reference to Sarpy County. I'm sure that is somewhat intentional. This was probably a name picked because they could create a "SC" logo without losing the Omaha name. @DavidStreeter
