I like this move a lot. With Rice they now have a real solid receiving core. Rice opposite Mike Williams, who was very solid last season, creates a nice 1-2. Throw in a couple quicker guys like Deon Butler and Golden Tate, and this become a very solid group. This group should help hide a lot of TJacks weaknesses. Rice and Williams are big targets, which will help a QB who struggles with accuracy, along with Tate and Butler who will be useful when Jackson has to fling the ball up. A good passing game will help a potentially good, but inexperienced O-line from being stacked up against. Lynch and Forsett as could be a nice slash and dash combo. It's not a flashy offense, but you never know, it might have some life.

Because Rice did such a crackerjack job of hiding T-Jack's weaknesses in the past.

You hate optimism, don't you?

There's optimism and then there's denying reality like a retarded Pollyanna. It doesn't madder how big your wideouts are when Jackson is arm punting the ball into the 10th row.

If he can manage a passer rating over 70% I will be happy. The Seahawks will have to rely heavily on their running game and having a player make will hopefully make teams respect their passing game. It was early in both their careers that Jackson and Rice last consistently played together. Without a doubt Rice is a better receiver than he was in 2008 and hopefully Jackson is a better QB.

Texans are the new favourite for Nnamdi Asomugha.

Good for Houston, because their defensive backfield needs all the help they can get. Their DBs cost them at least

three wins last season.

Didn't the Chargers beat them last year when they were missing their top 4 or 5 receivers?

There are rumors of the Cardinals trying to get another Cromartie. Once they trade DRC to the Eagles, they will be talking to his cousin Antonio Cromartie to come to Arizona. So they lose a Cromartie to gain a Cromartie. They figure it would be a better fit to have a older presence to help teach Patrick Peterson become a better Corner.

If TJack only has a rating in the 70s, teams aren't going to respect the Seahawks passing game.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

That's a horrible plan considering how Cro is deathly afraid of contact.

An army of "insiders" and nobody's said yet what the Saints got for Reggie. Anybody run across that yet?

Probably a late round pick. Just an assumption, but with what McNabb and Haynesworth fetched, just the salary relief for the Saints is a great return.

True, though the hit is the same as if they'd released him, $3.5 million this year. They weren't going to give him the $11 million he was due. Supposedly the Dolphins are giving him $10 million for two years, and I think they'll end up quite disappointed by the ROI on this one. Reggie is not a $5 million dollar a year player. For one thing, he needs to attend the Tiki Barber High and Tight Academy.

Carrying the ball like that gets it knocked out a lot.

nola.com now says the Saints are also getting a safety and special teamer named Jonathon Amayo. Not familiar with him but help on special teams is a good thing.

According to John Clayton, the deal is done, 2nd Round pick and DRC for Kevin Kolb. Which in Return according to Adam Caplan, the Cardinals will give him a 5 year extension worth $63 Million Dollars with $20 Mill Guaranteed

That's a hefty contract right there for a guy who is still basically unproven. Not saying he won't pan out, but wow. Speaking of hefty contracts, are the Pats picking up Haynesworth's enormous contract as well or is Washington gonna foot part of that bill? If they are, that may not have been such a great deal for the Pats.

That is a huge roll of the dice for a guy of Kolb's limited experience. This could be genius or burn Arizona for years to come. For their fans' sake, I hope they're getting it right.

Saints supposedly looking at Darren Sproles. Shades of Howard Stevens! (though he was an inch shorter than Sproles...)

That's something... When was the last time Buffalo got anyone of the talent of Smith in Free Agency?

Good for the Bills. Let's see if that can pan out.

Does TO count 2 years ago?

And how did that work out for Buffalo?

You've got Smith way too high on your board, my friend.

I'm surprised Arizona didn't have to give up a 1st for Kolb. DRC has shown some good, but still is relatively young, looks like a good deal for both teams.
