Steve03Merc
Or is it just older photography and different materials showing the same color differently?
Quillz
The first pic certainly appears to me like they're wearing a red jersey, while the third pic looks very much like an orange jersey. So I'm going to infer they have changed their colors over time, but as you stated, it could just be a trick of the light in the photos.
IronChefShark
Just some advice, try to be a bit more specific with topic titles.I see "Miami" and "orange" it could either mean U of Miami Hurricanes or Miami Dolphins. TruColor
More than likely it has changed. Here are their current athletic colors:I've said this before, but I have found that the majority of collegiate athletic programs don't necessarily adhere to color standards. At least, not as much as professional teams do.I should also mention that the Orange that the Hurricanes currently use wasn't even present in the Pantone catalog prior to 1987. Nike only does what they do because the schools allow them to do it. If they could change Ohio State, Alabama, USC or any other other traditional powers that they outfit, dont you think they would do it? Of course they would. But those schools only let them get away with so much. The schools such as Miami and others let them do what they want, and they do.
CubsFanBudMan
They *have* done it to Ohio State the past two years via Pro Combat -- plus the sleeve striping pattern before that.(And for the record, I thought of the Heat when I saw the thread title.) Their grey jersey (which they almost never wore) was storm outside of the placket piping, and silver inside it. Looked like pajamas. They also had a hat...green crown, swirling ibis logo, storm grey bill.

A-Train
I don't mind the storm grey, just as long as they don't bring back that terrible green helmet with all orange.
