...Splat?

I'm joking. I don't think what happened is funny at all, but I do wonder if the man had been drinking a little, even if he was with his son, or was this simply a complete accident? From what it sounds like, it is, but with two deaths at baseball stadiums this year, and others who have become injured, I wonder if the railings should be a bit higher and sturdier. It's obviously horrible what happened, and it's nice the Rangers are going out of their way to really support the family and the little kid, who will no doubt be traumatically affected by this. I mean, just look at Josh Hamilton, and the Oakland bullpen, that one player for the Athletics looked absolutely devastated by what happened.

Hamilton apparently just hit a foul ball that struck a fan in the head, from which the fan is bleeding profusely.

No! That isn't even funny! You are lying, right?

I am not lying at all.

Well, I tuned on the game and everything was running smoothly...

It's not like the fan took a shotgun to the face. He was bleeding and got medical attention.

Alright, I'll believe you. But only because you're a Bears fan.

And if you're just :censored: ing with me, then shame on you. But I'll just have to assume you're not.

So I don't get to be in attendance to see Jeter get number 3000 which sucks. But it does make me feel better that some people were buying 25 dollar tickets for about 230 dollars on Stubhub. That's hilarious, 230 dollars down the drain. Apparently the Yankees offered to have a day-night doubleheader tomorrow, but the Rays turned it down. That's just what I'm hearing. Also I'm currently watching Mets-Giants as Bob Costas and Al Michaels are calling the game. Just amazing.

Yeah, I think that is so the markets in New York and San Francisco can get to hear Michaels and Costas. Because currently the MLB network is blacked out for us.

It's true. I saw the highlight a little while ago on MLB Network. Hamilton is having a tough couple of days...to say the least.

In other news, Costas and Michaels in the same booth is excellent. The announcer rotation thing is pretty cool too. In my case, as a MLB Extra Innings subscriber I get to hear those local guys all the time. Still, a very cool idea. MLB Network is the best thing to happen to sports TV...well...ever. :D

As if even if he was not on the DL you would have the ticket to the home game to see him reach 3,000. Items out of your personal control are random, son!

I have to agree. Nothing beats being able to watch my favorite team in HD on the opposite side of the country and getting to hear Kruk and Kuip call the game. Makes me feel more at home :)

If I'm understanding what you're saying (probably not, and I doubt anyone else is), than yes they are.

I was wrong about all the announcers in all three booths, it may have been interesting to hear Kuiper and Krukow.

Yeah Cohen and Darling are back on SNY, and I think Costas and Michaels just went to the Giants network. I would've liked to hear them calling the game on SNY. What you thought was going to happen reminded me of when ESPN did the announcer swap and Vitale did the NBA game, that was awful.

The Giants announcers were on MLB Network for a few innings, which was nice, but it's back to Costas and Michaels. I love the unique announcing team, but it does feel awfully strange. Al Michaels keeps talking about the Giants bringing in Sergio Romo and I'd swear I'm watching a Cowboys game.

Hearing Michaels call baseball does sound a little strange but him together with Costas is really working. If anything, Costas and Michaels prove that you don't need an ex-player to have a good broadcast team. Anyway, I'm really enjoying listening to them. They should do this once a month.

Glad to see Bruce Bochy completely mismanage the end of the game and probably cost his team a win. Why in the world you would bring in the closer in the top of the 9th of a tie ball game when the bottom of the order is due up is beyond me. Just brutal. I thought that side of Ol' bighead was dead. Guess not.
