So the Falcons just blew out a team everybody said should blow them out. I don't know how to feel or celebrate. This doesn't happen.

It's a statement win. The Falcons looked like a legit Super Bowl threat today. Falcons fans have every reason to celebrate and feel good. I think this is the kind of win that separates them from the previous two incarnations of the Falcons.

But remain always wary of the playoff failures that have plagued them. If the Falcons play in January like they played today, they have an excellent chance of playing in New Orleans.

So Adrian Peterson. Not really sure if he's human or not.

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

Just like they did when they went 13-3 and got blown up by the Packers in the playoffs. Until they do anything more than wet the bed in the post-season, they'll have the monkey on their backs.

Also keep in mind that they played the New York Chameleons Giants today.

Good to see Tampa play a full season of football instead of giving up after week 10 like they normally do.

Seriously, :censored: this team.

it seems the league really wants more games in one fashion or another--which doesn't exactly jive all that well with the push for player safety.

Of course it does - if they want to add more games, they need to find a way to make the sport safer.

No contradiction there at all.

Only in your world, Goth. Only in your world. :D

Nah, that's just because I'm not trying to work out some personal grievances with the Commissioner. :P

Earlier this season, after Seattle lost in San Francisco, I grilled Russell Wilson, calling him a terrible NFL QB, at that point in time.

Mea culpa, Russell. Mea culpa. Legit QB on a team that might win 11 games and the NFC West.

Dude, I'm a Bucs fan. Our Falcons hatred is mutual. I've been just as vocal as you about the Falcons not being 100% legit until they do this in January, as I even (still) mention in the quoted posting.

They need to donate their game checks after today. The playoffs were out of the picture, but playing like professionals is never out of the picture. Losing 41-0 to a 5-8 division rival is the embodiment of unprofessional. Josh Freeman of 2011 showed up in full form today.

You're right...had to go back and read that again to see that I obviously had my Falcon-hater blinders on when I read it the first time. My bad.

More so then any year previous. This league is way too bi-polar. One week you look like kings, the next the media and fans are on you like dogs on raw meat. Until Atlanta can win in the playoffs, they don't do anything for me.

Giants are inconsistent, and Atlanta got them at home. And that's the sad reality, do it on the road, and when it matters. Then we'll talk.

Trust me. I'm not taking anything away from them, they're scary. But aren't battle tested.

Lots of interesting stuff happening in Bears-land after this latest lost. Lovie Smith throws Cutler under the bus, blaming the pre-halftime interception as the moment that changed the game. Conte blames the refs, then joins Urlacher in blaming the fans for booing and not being "real fans." Marshall is the only voice of reason, saying that everyone should be held accountable, even if it means firing people.

What a cluster :censored: .

Urlacher's been a sour-faced prick for years, but I've at least respected him for his talent. Comments like these make me sick. Blaming the fans for loss is the lowest thing a player can do, and I feel like it's part of Lovie Smith's culture of "Screw Everyone Else" that he's cultivated over the years. Screw the press, screw the fans. They're idiots, etc.

I get that he's been able to play a tough position for years, and has lost a lot of speed over the years, but is always thought highly of and is consistent in his job. But every time I see him on the sideline, just reading is lips, he's an ass. This team is just full of crap, and it's putting a bad name on a once proud franchise. From Cutler sulking, to Urlacher being a baby. It's not a fun thing, and I know you would know a helluva a lot more about the goings on there, than me.

Urlacher busting out the classic Cade McNown line. Never thought I'd see that. Go knock up another stripper, you load.

As a Vikings fan, I would be for a 14-16 team playoff system if it were to be implemented this year. :P But now I just cannot see them squeaking into the playoffs with both games remaining against playoff teams. Those losses against Seattle and Washington are proving to be killers, as it has come down to tiebreakers in the NFC playoff race. Now it will take a small miracle to make the postseason.

But for now, I am hoping AP can break Eric Dickerson's all-time rushing mark of 2,105 yards. To see him come back from such a devastating injury and put up numbers like this is astonishing and certainly makes him worthy of the NFL MVP. He is the only reason Minnesota is still in the playoff hunt, after all.

Have faith my friend. As sick as this sounds, I actually like the Vikings and have reasons and consider them my second team. But the way this season has gone, anything can happen. Houston will be tough, but Green Bay at home, the Pack will probably have nothing to play for. Plus the only team you're losing the tiebreak to right now would be the Giants and they have the Ravens next week.

Next to the Colts, the best comeback story of the year.
