sc49erfan15
I've been meaning to make this thread for a while, but I found myself going through albums looking for a certain obscure 1990s NASCAR paint scheme and saw some pictures of NASCAR paint schemes featuring NCAA teams. I don't think anyone has ever made a thread about this before, and this is the perfect place for it - so why not? Here goes - all NASCAR paint schemes I know of featuring other sports. Feel free to post any I missed.Jerry Glanville, Atlanta Falcons, 1992I had this die-cast car as a kid, Glanville did have a brief racing career, but I'm not sure (and doubt) this scheme was ever actually run.Tim Fedewa, Florida State Seminoles, Richmond 1995Johnny Chapman, NC State Wolfpack, Hickory 1996(apparently Chapman raced a Miami Hurricanes car at Rockingham in 1996 as well, but I can't find any pics)Also, contender for "creepiest postcard photo ever" award...Bobby Labonte, Joe Gibbs Hall of Fame, Talladega 1996This car was run to commemorate Joe Gibbs' induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Of course, he owned the car.Lake Speed, Nebraska Cornhuskers, 1997This scheme obviously made it to a real car, die-casts were even made, but it apparently never saw the track.Sterling Marlin, Tennessee Volunteers, Bristol 1999Scott Pruett, Alabama Crimson Tide, Talladega 2000

sc49erfan15
My all-time favorite driver, Jerry Nadeau, ran this scheme at Atlanta in 99. Reminds me of one I forgot - Jerry Nadeau's short-lived ride in 1998 owned by Dan Marino.Doesn't feature any actual team logos, but definitely sports-themed. shaydre1019
Man I'm not a NASCAR fan at all, but that roll tide one might be the coolest car I've ever seen!
raysox
That's so funny FSU and NC State both had cars. But good thread! You got all the ones I cold think of! Also, the Dale Jr all star game one was the Pepsi 400, not 'Dega.Adding to this thread in a way, Sauber F1 has a Chelsea logo on the side of their cars. @MichaelDanger19Â | Dribbble
CDixonDesign
I believe that there were F1 cars produced for all the NFL teams this year. It's buried in the NFL Mega thread, however, I think they were all promotional, not actual track intended cars.

sc49erfan15
^Nice call on the Earnhardt! Things like that are why I started the thread. This one's a bit of a reach, but with Joe Gibbs owning the car, Bobby Labonte had a few interesting helmet schemes in the 1990s:I remember seeing a wall full of these at a restaurant in Charlotte once. Pretty sure he wore at least a few of them.

(Yeah, I started a thread on this.)Also, JR Hildebrand's IndyCar (#4) had a San Francisco 49ers paint scheme a few weeks ago at Sonoma. (Jim Harbaugh is a part owner of this team.) sc49erfan15
I had no idea about those Red Wings cars, nice!Sure, let's throw wrestling in there too - that #49 NWO car was run by Kyle Petty in 1997.Steve Grissom, 1996Lance Hooper, 1998Jerry Nadeau, 1999. This car had a few different schemes, one featuring Goldberg as a "one race wonder." (Also the 3rd Jerry Nadeau mention, that's got to be a first for, well, anything.)In searching for the WCW pics I hit a goldmine - a thread on another forum about sports-themed NASCAR paint schemes that features a few not shown yet here:Christian Fittipaldi, New York Yankees, Watkins Glen 2003Hermie Sadler, VT/VCU/JMU/UVA, 2003Donnie Neuenberger, Maryland Terrapins, 2004Jeff Burton, NBA All-Star Game, Daytona 2004
