OMMF
While discussing how old the scoreboard for the Panthers is, it got me wondering what other arena scoreboards look like.some of these pictures may be outdatedSt Louis:Scottrade Center by kielman316, on FlickrPhoenix:2013-03-21 Vancouver Canucks @ Phoenix Coyotes by cbb4104, on FlickrPhilly:Sixers did have a lead - but Miami won 20th straight by jrab, on FlickrChicago:United Center by kielman316, on Flickr

NEW.ERA
BankersLife Fieldhouse and the Toyota Center both rock those new rectangular Cowboys Stadium videoboard. Looks really awesome actually in a smaller environment. JETS|PACK|JAYS|NUFC|BAMA|BOMBERS|RAPS|ORANJE|

bosrs1
HP Pavilion in San Jose - This one was installed a few years agoHonda Center in Anaheim - Still has a very old and disappointing video boardSleep Train Arena in Sacramento - Probably has the most antiquated video board in the NBA or NHLOracle Arena in Oakland - New board installed in the last year or so.Staples Center in LA - installed a few years backCow Palace in SF/Daly City - Just got this new video board for the new ECHL San Francisco Bulls (a huge upgrade for the 75 year old arena)Valley View Casino Center in San Diego - still using the old board the Clippers used over 30 years agoViejas Arena in San Diego - SDSU added this new board recently
pmoehrin
I especially love the boards with unique elements:Time Warner Cable Arena (Bobcats):That's my personal favorite of every NBA arena, with Staples Center coming in at a close second. Just a shame that the Bobcats are so bad its hardly ever seen. The Cow Palace one looks sweet as well. I wasn't even aware they had a new one installed. The Kings board just looks sad, but not a coincidence the Maloofs are the owners of the worst scoreboard in the NBA. At this point to be a big four pro sports team and not have an HD screen (Cubs excluded) is inexcusable.
Still MIGHTY
Bosrs1's post illustrates what I was talking about in the other thread regarding the board at the Pond. Anaheim could use a board exactly like their NorCal counterparts in San Jose or Oakland. Hell, even the Cow Palace's board would be an upgrade. (and it's sad that the effing Cow Palace has a nicer board than the Pond.)The one thing the Pond does have that I haven't seen in most other indoor arenas are these rectangular boards up high on the ends of the rink that usually show more in depth stats (shifts, ice time, faceoffs, hits, power play shots, etc.) | ANA | LAA | LAR | LAL | ASU | CSULB | USMNT | USWNT | LAFC | OCSC | MAN UTD |

Still MIGHTY
Via Florida Panthers twitter/Instagram:Thank you Broward County. #FlaPanthers & concert/show fans will have a new scoreboard to watch…1) Why Ottawa?2) Thats a lot of penalties in a short span (Two Panther penalties, followed 4 seconds later by an Ottawa penalty, followed 54 seconds later by a Sens double minor. EDIT: Errr, reverse some of that. Whatever. I dont care.)3) The goalies must be having quite the bad night (6 total goals on 16 total shots)4) HA! It was really just "player/points/fouls" for hoops and "player/penalty/time left in box" for hockey, but we're talking 1981...they also had video boards in all four upper corners of the arena which always lagged a couple of seconds behind the main scoreboard.(Click to Zoom)
