If it's simply there to separate JOE and KES, the one without them works best as the two different colours do a good enough job of keeping them apart, while simultaneously keeping them together to keep your pun intact. It helps people understand exactly what you said: it's "jokes" with a play on the name "Joe." The whole set overall is a very good, solid effort.
