Evil G
Green's not really a core player, but a damn good outside contributor. He is a perfect Spur though, I agree with that. DG_ThenNowForever
Green also mostly disappeared when they needed him against the Clippers, so it's a good thing he came back on a discount. I don't think the Spurs were old as much as they couldn't hit shots against LA. LMA relieves some of that pressure and David West is good too. But they needed guys like Green and Mills to hit open threes, and they couldn't. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags
sportzfan
So DeAndre Jordan might actually stay with the clippers since it was only a verbal commitment, but the Clippers will be meeting with him today to try and get him to not sign the deal with the Mavs. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/13221695/los-angeles-clippers-lobbying-deandre-jordan-back-deal-dallas-mavericks

He isn't a superstar... he isn't ever going to make an All Star team... But he is one of those guys where if they didn't have him, the impact would be felt big time. That's exactly what Manu was. Solid all around player... every once in a while, will go off for 30+ and carry the team to a W. That's Green.
DG_ThenNowForever
Yeah. He was great in the 2014 playoffs. Less so this year. Manu was atrocious in this year's postseason. I'm not sure if him coming back is necessarily a good thing. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags

sportzfan
I don't see what you guys see in green. He caught fire in the playoffs last year especially from behind the arc but outside of that he is a very average player, not something i would build a "Big 3" around. He isn't consistently good like Manu was, he's too streaky for me, like a JR Smith without the attitude.

He played as a proper SG and could have started for most teams. His ceiling was way higher than Green's ever will be. That's not to say Green is a bad asset. Only that he has to be a lights out shooter or what's the point. Also, the NBA should force DJ to honor the Dallas commitment. Or gets its :censored: together with the salary cap. This one week period is bogus if commitments aren't real. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags

dfwabel
Wow....anything like this ever happened before? Turkoglu gaveva verbal commitment to Portland but signed with Toronto in 2009.Then there's also the Carlos Boozer situation with the Cavs in 2004 too. The Cavs let him become a UFA a year early to sign him to the mid-level (as opposed to his $700K salary) but went back on the agreement, took more money from Utah and his agency dropped him. BlackBolt3
The Emoji fallout over the situation is funny, especially the part where Paul Pierce doesn't quite get it:http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2015/7/8/8914659/the-clippers-mavericks-battle-for-deandre-jordan-is-all-out-emojiOn topic, the no signing period is stupid. Either reduce it to 3-5 days, or eliminate it all together.
NJTank
Its not good, somebody commits to a team and cant sign for some stupid reason then changes his mind really screws over the team. The Mavs could have focused elsewhere if they knew he would change his mind. The Mavs stated it was Deandre or tank, now they may break up and that could throw things into even more flux. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
sportzfan
it happened, he never signed anything. Sure he verbally said it, but until he signs on the dotted line nothing is official and can change his mind and go where ever he wants. DG_ThenNowForever
The NBA has been playing with fire and it caught up with them. So there is some serendipity here. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags

C's
DeAndre Jordan is a big, indecisive retard. Dallas really should just move on, they don't want someone like him on their team. They already would've been grossly overpaying him for what he provides on the court, and now that he's been revealed as a flaky horses-ass (and the Clippers revealed a bunch of petty psychopaths)... yeah, concede the fight and file a grievance afterward to get cash or some draft picks or something.
