Whoa! Lakers lost to CLE with "Donnie Osman" going for 20 and 8.

Lonzo has 13/8/8 and will still be ripped for his performance.  KCP was a +22 and only played 26 minutes.  He only had 4/4/4 too,so he played the secondary distributor to Lonzo.  If LeBron is out, he needs to play more than 26

Yeah, very odd night for him indeed. But hey, they happen sometimes! Still got 30+ tonight anyways too.

What was really funny was that he complained for a good two minutes to the ref for calling a single (and obvious) foul on him, and then the next two plays he was given two very questionable fouls on 3 pointers. But really, if he hadn’t tried to do everything, they would’ve blown us out of the water. Austin Rivers of all people lit us up, but Harden wouldn’t pass to him (or anyone else).

Ah, doesn’t matter. Wonder if those people who showed up in a Celtics jersey on Saturday and a Rockets jersey on Sunday bought a Magic one at the end of the Rockets game.

Lonzo was something like 13/5/5 at the half. Really bad game for everyone last night. You left out that KCP was pulled from the game for a bit too after being kicked in the ribs by Dellavedova or someone.

The losses to the Knicks and Cavs could end up being disastrous for the Lakers. They need all the easy wins they can get.

I don't know how they fix their shooting, and I also don't know if Luke comes back next year.

Last night's Celtics (admittedly without Kyrie or Smart for the evening) were losing by as much as 27 to the Nets. Boston had a long leash to start the year, with re-integrating Hayward and a weird early schedule and whatever else. I think that time is up now and they're solidly at the back of the Eastern contender pack.

They play the Bulls today. If they lose that one, I think heads (Well, Luke Walton's head, anyway) are gonna roll.

They were chanting “Kyrie will leave” towards the end

Excellent!

Probably should, if it comes to that.

While the Lakers have played games on this stretch without LeBron, Rondo and Kuzma, the remaining players still have actual talent. I don't know how to force a team to not shoot 5/30 from three, but maybe come up with a plan for different looks?

The Lakers were well out of that Cavs game, brought themselves close, but couldn't finish. They don't have the talent to spot the other team 10 points a night.

And, what a surprise for LeBron, his team falls apart without him. It really is a shame Paul George stayed in OKC; this Lakers season would have looked a lot different had he went to LA.

I was at the game. “Kyrie’s Leaving” to be exact.

Since team management OK’d the “diehard” fan section in 114, I’ve enjoyed watching fans in the arena evolve into the jerkish NYers I’ve always known they could be instead of the sit-on-their-hands corporate stiffs they were in their first few seasons at Barclays. Chanting “You can’t shoot” and “Tatum’s better” at Markelle Fultz was a highlight.

NOT about my team: It’s gonna be interesting seeing how much longer Denver can hold off the Warriors on top of the West. They’ve been ahead for a while now but today they’re only a half game ahead. I’d love to see them win home court throughout the playoffs but as of now I just don’t believe it.

I wish that we actually had a home crowd for games against big teams. I was talking to a Celtics fan on the way out of the arena and he said "great away win for you all", and I had to agree with him. The crowd was at least 50-60% Boston Kyrie Irving. Seriously, no one was wearing any other jersey, and they would cheer super loud for him but no one else. Anything he did would garner a "OOOOH!" from the crowd, to the point where I think he could've done a simple crossover and then thrown a turnover and the crowd would've reacted that way. However, we did have a home crowd for the Rockets game, and the atmosphere was incredible by the end.

As much as I hate to say it, Orlando is a very fair weather city when it comes to sports, and the number of implants and snowbirds from up north doesn't help. Really, if the Magic get back to winning before Orlando City gets off the ground, they will have quite the issues getting people in. There will always be the diehards, but a lot of casual fans will eventually stop coming once the "new team" attendance boost wears off in a year or two.

Last night was "Kyrie's Leaving" in Brooklyn, and tonight "John Wall Hates You" in Phoenix.

Their schedule, as Windhorst said on today's podcast, is about to get really tough since the NBA loves to put LeBron's teams in important games after Christmas.

Between tonight and March 1, they play GSW(2), PHL(2), HOU(2), NOP(2), @IND, @BOS, @OKC, and MIL.  They and the Clippers have a Grammy roadtrip this February.

If it's Tuesday, it's Players Only on NBA TV. Does anyone like three former players from a studio calling games, but only kind of?

Also, Lakers look lazy. Down early to the Bulls. This stretch may be their worst since the Kobe decline started.

Why can't they simply take their seats and quietly enjoy the show? I paid good money to come here and see Hamilt--oh whoops

I give it one more year of teams adapting to the new offensive rules. I don't know if I like this trend or not? Leaning toward not, especially when three teams scored over 140 points last night.
