Future Cleveland Browns QB, Dak Prescott!

The original logo had a lot more character, but it also had the laughable broken jaw. All one would have to do is correct the jaw on the original.

Random logo and uniform things

The recent reboot/sequel to Total Drama Island created some excellent hockey sweater designs for the Snow Owls. It’s like a brighter ‘07 Sharks sweater, without a yoke. -
It is, but it’s about as inviting as the judge‘s mansion from Nothing But Trouble.

Yeah, SF Sharks would’ve been good, but the Warriors’ ownership has never really wanted to foster a relationship with the Sharks. There was no partnership to build the SJ arena (when Oracle MK I was showing its age) and no invite into the SF arena (when the Sharks wanted to stupidly flee a serviceable arena). The Sharks are just a stupid organization for not approaching the Warriors, even if the Warriors would turn them down nine times out of ten. At worst, you’re renting the stadium with Sparky the SUV’s cousin occupying the dead space. Fixes inserted - the Bay Area is fundamentally not a “multiple teams per sport” market, no matter how much the demographics support it.

The Warriors seem pretty hostile to the Sharks in general - did the Warriors even offer to make Chase hockey-compatible for them?

Burgundy and sky blue would be the single-most obvious solution and would've been a far better initial color scheme.

That is very correct. It’s excellent at connecting the further reaches of suburbs to lower downtown (be it the big EMU’s or the smaller EMU’s - which I use mostly), but the actual transit system within the central part of the city is lackluster. The whole system is electrified and uses no EMD F40PH engines, which is pretty neat. I should have some nostalgic attachment to the F40PH’s (as I grew up with Caltrain), but I really don’t.

Those would be the two best sports for Wilson, with contenders and in an explicit backup role. It'd also be funny in both places, crawling back to his old team or his old division rival. I think Russ will sit out a year, though not by choice. Russ still thinks he can be a starter (see the Broncos' win streak last year and his red zone stats), but it'll take a long time away for him to think otherwise.

That reminds me, I really gotta listen to The Killers again.

It really goes to show how isolated the Seattle sports media is from the rest of the country. If Russ came from anywhere else, his red flags would've been far more prominent in discussion at the onset. However, he won a Super Bowl and went to another (as well as a bunch of playoff appearances), so Seattle fans were the only ones who knew the truth about his play and his issues. Seattle fans being happy to part ways with him should've been a much larger red flag.

I would say the giant William Penn statue, but that's a bit too esoteric. Independence Hall or City Hall (with the Penn statue)? Joking answer: "You don't have beef with me? I was a priest before I got involved with you guys. Unbelievable."

At least The Who were genuinely sorrowful after the Cincinnati disaster. Travis just recorded a typically-awful apology video. -
Are you sensing another Fowler/scmods/wings dupe?

Don’t worry, Adam Levine and Travis Scott brutally disgraced themselves not long after, the latter in much more horrid fashion. -

The easiest way to deal with social media is to ignore it. -
The Patriots-level cliff dive isn’t here yet, if only because they still have some big star power. Klay will probably re-sign, albeit for less than he asked for and Draymond will hopefully exit before he goes full Akira Maeda and makes the franchise more liable for BS. If the Warriors mess up their draft and their offseason by getting older and more injured, then the Pats-level cliff is coming fast. Kerr retiring might be a good call too.

That's the one. Jon Bois wrote a piece on it. A Secret Base on the post-1985 Bears would be a fantastic piece, of how the historically-mediocre can become truly terrible. -

It’s ridiculous how quickly the Texans have turned it around so far. I say “so far” because they could always turn into a pumpkin next season and be right back in the rebuild zone. It’s weird that the Bears still finished better than several teams, especially with all the mayhem at the start of the season. Is this the season that truly made them a “perma-bad” team, like the Panthers are now and the Lions used to be? -

Also, because it would’ve come up way more if the Ravens won, anything and everything involving Trey Lance. Not that Trey Lance was anything beyond a backup in Dallas, but still. Only Zombie Deadspin would really take that bait, and who looks at ZD other than to gawk?
