  1. Colombia's 2017 home jerseys were good in this regard.
  2. This is a great starting point for a USA cap logo. I would prefer different font, but the condensed S interlocking the U would help.
  3. I don't mind the jerseys, but baseball really needs to simplify the cap logo.
  4. If anyone wants some details about what caused failure to the Atlanta Thrashers, this article is a good start. Starts around halfway during the 2003-2007 section. https://allsportshistory.com/2021/08/27/what-happened-to-the-atlanta-thrashers/
  5. Blame the original owner Vince Naimoli. He was even more a cheapskate than Stu Sternberg and was all for the $$$ and nothing else. Sternberg is cheap, but at least he has guys in the FO who can run a baseball team on the cheap and be successful on field.
  6. The Vet also changed to FieldTurf in the later years, so the Astroturf claims might be from the earlier years.
  7. I actually don't mind that each country is using different manufacturers for the uniforms. It's less templated. Unfortunately a side effect are things like the Canada unis.
  8. Chris has shared the Team Canada uniforms.
  9. I also think the Buffaslug rebrand happened in the 06-07 season.
  10. The Nike NFL takeover began with the 2012 season, so 2023 will be the 12th season.
  11. Doubtful. From what I've understood, the RSNs were acquired by Disney when Disney acquired that portion 20th Century Fox. Because Disney already had ESPN, it was viewed that Disney had to spin off the RSN's to avoid a monopoly.
  12. As a mod, I've decided to rename the thread to encompass the Stadium Saga in Oakland and Tampa Bay.
  13. Hard to say, since the Yankees spring complex in that area. It might take a little more negotiating to get in that area.
  14. If nobody cares, then why do you care? You started this whole thing...
  15. Going by what you're saying, I think you might live in Pinellas and have a little bias. Let me show some examples for the masses. Both of these maps come from here https://www.draysbay.com/2011/6/24/2242433/draysbays-stadium-proposal-part-1. This is an article from 2011, but the information is still valid today in my option. The first map below is the current Tropicana Field location. Red circle is 5 mile radius, and the blue circle is a 10 mile radius. 2/3, if not 3/4 of the circle is water. Look how much of that area is water? Guess what, pretty sure fish, turtles, and dolphins don't go to baseball games. Below is a map of the same distanced circles, but centered at downtown Tampa. Yes, about 1/4 of the area is water, the rest is swelling with populated areas. 10 miles in this area is 30-35 minutes driving, which moving to a center around Tampa would increase the potential population that could make a decision to go to a home game.
  16. This should go over real well with the rest of the teams in the ACC
  17. Oh wow, the reconfiguration is really happening. https://www.cbssports.com/nascar/news/auto-club-speedway-will-not-host-nascar-races-in-2024-due-to-reconfiguration/ Here's an overlay of the current 2 mile track with the plans for the half mile short track on top. Looks nice, and not your typical short track either.
  18. I've always thought that black helmets and breezers would be a good addition too.
  19. 30k would be great, but in an 81-home game season probably isn't feasible. Averaging 20-25k would probably seem more likely.
  20. You really must not live in the Tampa Bay area. That "10 minute freeway drive on 275 across Tampa Bay" is more like 30-40 minumum during peak drive time in the evening.
  21. I think what the Lightning need to do is match up their shade of blue in the print logos to be aligned more with the blue of the fabric of their jersey, similar to what the Atlanta Braves and a few other teams have done recently. The blue on the jersey seems to be more vibrant than the dark royal that shows in most of their print logos.
