FiddySicks
Never thought I would ever say this, but I’m pretty firmly on the Phillies bandwagon this year. They’re super scrappy and just have that feel of a team who’s caught fire. Hopefully San Diego can keep it up and pull out a win vs the Death Star, because for as much as I usually really hate both of those teams, that would be one hell of an NLCS. 2 Quote On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) DoctorWhom
Would love to see the Padres know off the West coast Evil Empire. Phillies winning against the Braves is a surprise too, but I did have them making the playoffs when the season started. If only the Martiners hadn't blown that lead in Game 1. Because it would be very typical for the Astros* to spoil everything.
CaliforniaGlowin
Typical unclutch dodgers. I called this before the end of the season. We're done. Quote Last updated 8/

TrueYankee26
4 games today. 2 teams in the NLDS on the brink and surprisingly they are the teams that won the last two World Series, the Braves and Dodgers respectively. Mariners also on the brink of getting swept out of the ALDS Edited October 15, 2022 by TrueYankee26 Lol forgot the Mariners Quote trueyankee26.wordpress.com
TrueYankee26
Raise your hand if you had a Padres-Phillies NLCS at the start of the season. Wow. It just might be happening. Quote trueyankee26.wordpress.com

Germanshepherd
Phillies snuck into the playoffs and are now the hottest team there. I’d like to see Harper win one, but Padres/Mariners are also really fun stories (though I’d prefer it to be my Yanks obviously) 1 Quote i have unquantifiable corpses on my conscience

I’d like to see Harper win one, but Padres/Mariners are also really fun stories (though I’d prefer it to be my Yanks obviously) Phillies have the 3rd best record in the NL since firing Joe Girardi on June 1. They're behind only the Dodgers and Braves for the past 4 months - two of which they didn't have Harper for. So while the whole season has to be taken into account for seeding purposes, they're really not the underdog that they're made out to be. They've won the season series against SD (granted, before Soto) and were seeded ahead of them till they choked against the cubs in September. That being said, they're still very flawed and limited in ways they can improve between this and next season, so they better hope luck is on their side and they win it this year because next year will be much harder since their competitors all have the flexibility to get better. 1 Quote "The views expressed here are mine and do not reflect the official opinion of my employer or the organization through which the Internet was accessed." BBTV
I desperately hope that if they lose in the NLCS, they don't put up a pennant for making the Wild Card or winning one of the NLDSs. That would be really stupid. If they must, I hope it's gray so it doesn't look prestigious. Ridleylash
Knowing our luck, this either ends in a miracle run for the Phillies...or one of the Evil Empires winning it all.

I was just running some scenarios through the analytics engine, and it looks like the Phillies have a 141 2/3% chance of winning it all. The numbers don't lie - and they spell disaster for whoever else advances. 1 Quote "The views expressed here are mine and do not reflect the official opinion of my employer or the organization through which the Internet was accessed." DG_YouKnowWhatThatMeans
Why does every Astros reliever have like a 1.4 ERA? Good lord. Is there anything that team doesn't do well?
