Boo, hiss. The villains won, this isn't how the script was supposed to play out!

Shouldn't you have joined every other Astros hater in jumping off a bridge?

How the hell does getting hit by a strike not get reversed?  The Astros were the better team, but goddam are they unlikable 💩 faces for all the shady stuff they consistently try to pull in literally every game of this series.  Honestly I'd cheer my team on even if they were scummy guys, but it's really hard to understand anyone getting behind this Houston team.

The dilapidated corpse of Dusty Baker gets a ring - but honestly it's a crap organization with lousy-fair-weather fans that gave up their tickets for next-to-nothing, but they do have cool uniforms and good branding.  Championships shouldn't go to places like that.

Oh, stop being bitter and tell Manfred to change to change that rule come winter meetings. Your team fought hard and should be a force to come for years. It's just this time, the more experienced team took the crown.

See you in April

Uh, @DG_ThenNowForever, you okay?

Huh? Astros are trash. I didn't watch the game, so I don't actually care. Enjoy your night.

Puff your chest out all you want, but the fact is, he got hit by a strike and made no effort to get out of the way - similar to what his teammate got busted for the other day.  Pretty sure the rule is that he shouldn't have been awarded 1st base, so no, I don't need to tell Manfred anything, except to maybe put more eyes on that sweat hog that's wiping his hand on every part of his body between every pitch, and cleans his hands before being inspected by the umps.  Oh, and to enforce punishments on players that use illegal bats like they got caught using in game 1.

I had always been somewhat of a defender of the Astros, though now that I've actually watched them play, it's an all-time unlikeable bunch of guys that play in a gimmicky park in front of fans that barely care.  Maybe some of that is just world-series fatigue in Houston - or maybe it's as lousy as it came across on TV.  Their team is so goddam good too - they don't need to cheat or look for every single little thing to exploit - yet they do, and that's why they'll never go down in history with other great teams.

I’m old enough to remember when Chase Utley ran to first base after a pitch missed him by six inches in the 2010 NLDS. That was always a chicken, scoundrel move that never sat right with me.

I’m happy for Dusty Baker and that’s about it. Glad the worst baseball season of my lifetime is finally over.

Glad for Dusty Baker finally got his World Series, also glad that Justin Verlander got his second. I don’t know if he has an option. But would love to see him back in a Tigers uniform next year to teach their young arms they have in Detroit. After that. Could care less about the Astros.

Illegal bats.

You mean Albert Pujols bat that Martin Maldonado used?

The same bat the Dodgers were using?

It’s like people just want something to cry about and will fall for ill informed takes just to cry.

Congrats to Dusty.

It's either illegal or it's not.  And it is.  So I don't get your point.

Did it matter?  Of course not - but it's just another indication that there's no oversight in that dugout.

You're misunderstanding his intention there.  He's simply embodying the blue-collar worth ethic of the city and, like all of us, wants to win so bad and is so locked in that he sees and feels things differently than average folks like us.  Did he get hit?  That's not for any of us to judge, as we can't possibly understand what it's like for a world-class athlete like him.

Just like there’s no oversight in the Dodgers dugout allowing Max Muncey to use Albert  Pujols bat (and homer with it). And like you said …that’s illegal.

Call a spade, a spade. Thats how you address League wide issues. That’s my point but you don’t want to see it because it doesn’t fit your narrative.
