That seems likely since he's in support of this stadium since the start. Without trying to go explore it, this was one of the sites the Islanders were looking into building an arena, right? MJWalker45
https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/39946706/liga-mx-player-sorry-shining-laser-opposing-gk-eyes Never thought I'd read about a keeper shining lights at another keeper, but here we are. Is he trying to help out Columbus? Still not the strangest thing to happen to soccer players this week though. https://www.espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/39946658/saudi-fa-review-spectator-rules-fan-whips-player Not in Concacaf, but a fan brought a whip to a soccer match. I wonder how many players will drop out of this project this summer since they got the World Cup that they wanted.

Digby
Revs were competing for Supporters Shield with a pretty similar roster at this time last year. This year they have 4 points from 8 games and lost in historic fashion in CCC. Is a Petrovic-level keeper even more valuable than we ever imagined? What is Caleb Porter doing on the training pitch that's making Bruce Arena, of all people, appear to be a tactical genius?

Dilbert
Apparently Detroit and Tampa Bay are in discussion too. Id love for these cities to be in MLS but they need to be the USL clubs promoted to MLS like Orlando and Cincinnati, not new separate clubs killing the current USL clubs like St Louis and San Diego. Digby
I went to the New England/Miami game on Saturday (sold off my extras for a tidy profit, though). It was weird to see Gillette at full capacity, as someone who doesn't go to Patriots games or pop/country concerts. The concourses are unpleasant when it's crowded! The fandom was weird. People weren't rooting for Miami, per se, it was more like a hyperfocus on just being near Messi and anything he'd do. So the energy in the crowd was strangely quiet despite the large number, except for whenever Messi would touch the ball. I don't think anyone will be converted to Revs fever on the night. It's still difficult to see this whole experiment as anything other than a one-time, black swan type of event for MLS.
