Gary
I decided that this would be a good week to unveil the Top 32 Power Rankings. I did this by taking their rank in total offense, defense, wins, losses and the power rankings of ESPN. I started doing this on air for the last 2 years in Phoenix and I decided to bring it to you. Btw I give 20 points for a loss. So here it goesTeams & Points 1. New England Patriots (2-0) Points: 52. Seattle Seahawks (2-0) Points: 83. New York Jets (2-0) Points: 8.254. Nick 1733
Mind if I post mine?EDIT - I re-did mine without using ESPN's Rankings. Here's the system, Loss=10 + Off Rank + Def Rank (+ Points Against or - Points For) *Tie Breaker is Points Against or ForBased on Losses, Points For and Against, Offensive Rank, Defensive Rank.Obviously not a personal opinion or else I'd have Denver as #11. Minnesota Vikings - 319. indianapolis Colts - 32 *(+11)10. Carolina Panthers - 32 *(+1)11. Oakland Raiders - 32 *(+/-0)12. Detroit Lions - 3413. Green Bay Packers - 3614. Chicago Bears - 38 *(+7)15. Dallas Cowboys - 38 *(-11)16. Jacksonville Jaguars - 40 *(+4)17. San Francisco 49ers - 40 *(-5)18. Baltimore Ravens - 4519. San Diego Chargers - 4720. Tennessee Titans - 4821. St. Louis Rams - 5022. winters in buffalo
Intereting. I was going to do a power ranking and post it here. Looks like you guys beat me to it. I should probably still do one... I have a different method. It would be cool to see whose system works best in the end.
winters in buffalo
Mine turned out a bit different. I used w/l record, points for/against, offense, defense and turnover ratio. IronChefShark
see, I KNEW the 49ers defense would at least keep them from being outright horrible......now theyre just outright mediocre......which considering how bad they were supposed to be this year, I will take. (A) is for AFC(N) is for NFC Yeah, I probably should have put the full names when I posted. A is Jets, N is Giants. For sorting purposes, it's far easier to use the same designations that nfl.com uses. That way, I can copy into excel, sort and insert into the appropriate columns. DarthMan
how the crap do you have the jets higher then the Eagles???? stats can only count so much. the Eagles have more intangibles than the jets, plus they're playing better. Gary
i'm going by stats not intagibles. The Jets are playing better than the Eagles as far as statistics.
