I decided that this would be a good week to unveil the Top 32 Power Rankings. I did this by taking their rank in total offense, defense, wins, losses and the power rankings of ESPN. I started doing this on air for the last 2 years in Phoenix and I decided to bring it to you. Btw I give 20 points for a loss. So here it goes

Teams & Points

1. New England Patriots (2-0) Points: 5

2. Seattle Seahawks (2-0) Points: 8

3. New York Jets (2-0) Points: 8.25

4. Philadelphia Eagles (2-0) Points: 9.75

5. Denver Broncos (1-1) Points: 10.5

6. Atlanta Falcons (2-0) Points: 11.25

7. Carolina Panthers (1-1) Points: 13

8. Minnesota Vikings (1-1) Points: 13.25

19. New Orleans Saints (1-1) Points: 18.5

20. Pittsburgh Steelers (1-1) Points: 19.25

28. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-2) Points: 25

31. Kansas City Chiefs (0-2) Points: 26.5

This is not my opinion, if it was i'd have the Lions number 1, this is however based on a points system that I have created.

Mind if I post mine?

EDIT - I re-did mine without using ESPN's Rankings.

Here's the system, Loss=10 + Off Rank + Def Rank (+ Points Against or - Points For) *Tie Breaker is Points Against or For

Based on Losses, Points For and Against, Offensive Rank, Defensive Rank.

Obviously not a personal opinion or else I'd have Denver as #1

1. New England Patriots - 5

2. Seattle Seahawks - 7

3. Philadelphia Eagles - 12

4. New York Jets - 13 *(+13)

5. Denver Broncos - 13 *(+9)

6. Atlanta Falcons - 15

7. Washington Redskins - 30

8. Minnesota Vikings - 31

9. indianapolis Colts - 32 *(+11)

10. Carolina Panthers - 32 *(+1)

11. Oakland Raiders - 32 *(+/-0)

12. Detroit Lions - 34

13. Green Bay Packers - 36

14. Chicago Bears - 38 *(+7)

15. Dallas Cowboys - 38 *(-11)

16. Jacksonville Jaguars - 40 *(+4)

17. San Francisco 49ers - 40 *(-5)

18. Baltimore Ravens - 45

19. San Diego Chargers - 47

20. Tennessee Titans - 48

21. St. Louis Rams - 50

22. Cleveland Browns - 52

23. Cincinnati Bengals - 56

24. New York Giants - 57

25. Buffalo Bills - 60 *(-6)

26. Houston Texans - 60 *(-19)

27. Miami Dolphins - 62

28. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - 63 *(-10)

29. Pittsburgh Steelers - 63 *(-14)

Mine turned out a bit different. I used w/l record, points for/against, offense, defense and turnover ratio. Won't be able to tell how reliable it is until we're a few games in, I think.

Which is which?

(A) is for AFC

(N) is for NFC

Yeah, I probably should have put the full names when I posted. A is Jets, N is Giants.

For sorting purposes, it's far easier to use the same designations that nfl.com uses. That way, I can copy into excel, sort and insert into the appropriate columns.

how the crap do you have the jets higher then the Eagles????

stats can only count so much. the Eagles have more intangibles than the jets, plus they're playing better.

i'm going by stats not intagibles. The Jets are playing better than the Eagles as far as statistics.

the eagles defense stat is misleading because tey've given up lots of yards
