Magus
well clinton was an expert on oral-gami's. whats wrong with baseketball players, ones on steroids, one steals items in the club house, one throws chairs in to the stands, one solicits oral-gamis, and another bets on baseball. baseball is more corrupt than enron. yh
Thank goodness he's a starter, otherwise I would have expected a few "blown save" references by now.

NJTank
This is one big OOPS for Denny Neagle as in it lets the Rockies void his contract via the morale clause. Of course this is a minor crime and anyone else it wold not happen but the Rockies have been praying to get rid of his contract and Neagle gave them a way out. dannymits
I'm waiting patiently for the Mets to sign Neagle to a 5-year $40 million deal. Free money!

Mac6674
Does anyone else think it's ridiculous that Colorado can terminate his contract, yet the Yankees can't dump Giambi, who's admitted he cheated for at least 3 years? On the other hand, I hate the Yankees, so I hope they're stuck with him. DEAD!
Does anyone else think it's ridiculous that Colorado can terminate his contract, yet the Yankees can't dump Giambi, who's admitted he cheated for at least 3 years? On the other hand, I hate the Yankees, so I hope they're stuck with him. I don't believe that Giambi's contract stipulates that his contract would be void if he took drugs. I think Boone's contract stipulated that he don't play basketball and I guess Neagle's contract stipulated that he can't solicit.

JamesCraven
"Maybe Neagle was getting in some 'off-season training' in preparation for the Mets.""Is Mike Piazza still the catcher?" No, Roger, he's a first baseman, which Neagle never got to with the hooker!
Mac6674
It's not that Giambi took drugs, it's that he's cheating; also steroids are just as illegal as solicitation, so what's the difference from a contract point of view?
