pcgd
I understand pointing out the mistakes here, but for the 100th time, about 1% of these fakes are lying. They don't say Authentic, they rarely say replica. All you have to do is read to find out that they are not authentics. They use the blanket term "Throwback" and if you are dumb enough not to read the auction, you deserve a fake jersey.

officeglenn
Just found this "authentic" Jays cap on eBay ... I know we bemoan the fact they wear graphite caps these days, but I don't remember the trend starting this early ... eBay
pcgd
Weren't there about 4 teams that came out with grey hats at once? I remember the pirates had them but either didn't wear them, or wore them once. Was toronto one of these teams?
Discrim
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5182916224&rd=1I didn't know "practice jerseys" came with the tags still attached from some unknown clothing company....hmmmmmmmI know damn well what the Eagles practice jersey looks like: eagle head on each sleeve, Eagles wordmark over all white or all green number, no dazzle mesh, et al...and neither one of those would exist in the first place: the D wears white and the QBs have the "don't hit me" reds. Maybe I'll send him a pic of McNabb and TO at practice...ya know, to show him what they look like. pc-it was the Pirates, Royals and Orioles. I think the Royals and O's wore theirs for the first few months of the 95 or 96 season but sparingly after that, and remember teh Pirates stuck with their gray lids a bit longer. main difference between those and the Jayz' is that the older ones were meant as road hats. For a good example, see Texas baseball, River City Rascals and a few AA and AAA teams (Salt Lake Stingers, Tucson Sidewinders, and although theirs are light blue, Tulsa Drillers-their road jersey is light blue, though they wear gray pants with them) A strong mind gets high off success, a weak mind gets high off bull
hormone
I am looking for the new Pirates pinneys they wore today, so I also needed a laugh so I surfed ebay and gothttp://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5186921117&rd=1Bonds never wore thishttp://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5181078889&rd=1Clemente never wore thishttp://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5181078359&rd=1http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5185097118&rd=1http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5185067056&rd=1http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5184968319&rd=1I have no comment for those other "authentics"

Discrim
already seen the Kelly one, so I'm not gonna repeat myself-hell, it speaks for itself. the only thing wrong with the first two jerseys you posted, you say yourself: Bonds and Clemente were long gone by the time either jersey came around. the next to last one, I remember seeing some lady in a faux-sleeveless jersey with the exact same script while watching the Cubs come through today A strong mind gets high off success, a weak mind gets high off bull
hormone
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5196407933&rd=1I had to post this one just because of the guy's description of "are sick and tired of the phony jersey pushers claiming obvious fakes are "authentic" or "game used"
VitaminD
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5185067056&rd=1I have no comment for those other "authentics" No comment needed.I remember when Starter put these out expressly as fashion jerseys. This was one of the styles from back in the '80s - just check out the logo (RED FLAG ALERT!!!) on the back of the jersey... nice and big, and in place of where jersey numbers go.I hope we can root out some of these frauds. My dad got hosed this Christmas and got me an "authentic Mitchell & Ness" Ron Jaworski jersey. I don't even know where to begin - wrong color green, wrong sleeve stripes, wrong number style, two different letter styles in the last name, neither one of which was correct...I asked where he got it, and it sounds like it was one of those temporary kisoks in the local mall. They're long gone now. Worst of all, my dad spent decent money on it, I won't wear it, and I can't resell it in good conscience because I refuse to perpetrate the fraud any further. !! "Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... Won't get to be a part of it... In old New York..."In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.
robbman21
That Lewis jersey is horrible.Just LOOK at the freakin' terrible stitching job done around the numbers. If someone buys that and is actually pleased with it then I guess they'll be happy with someone kickin' em right in the shins too. Also that jersey was made by Don Alleson Athletic and it just has some super CHEAP tackle-twill numbers put on. His number style on the ....well just look. I can't believe people actually buy this bullplop. BTW, notice how there is no Nike swoosh on the left shoulder of that Kelly jersey, but there happens to be a Nike tag...looks like the guy just cut the tag off another jersey and pasted it on that one. Add that to the plethora of mistakes on that jersey, and yeah... Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.
