Had you left out "And the Yankees win Year after Year" this shirt would have been funny. But because they had to explain the joke, its just stupid. If you even are a half of a fan of A baseball team let alone these two wastelands, you would have know what "Even Idiots can get Lucky" means. Less is more. The Punchline is all you need. Executives started freaking out and when all was said and done, they ruined a shirt for everyone but 5% of fans, the ones who don't have a clue. New York was in half the World Series between 1919 and 1964, winning most of time. Between 1965 and 1996 they went 1-3 in the WS, between 1976 and 1981. And now, 6 of the last 9 WS have involved New York.The "even idiots get lucky sometimes" is a funny line. But the domination line, true as it might be, makes it less funny. Maybe if it was on the back of the jersey or something, I don't know.It's like the Red Sox jerseys saying "Now I can die in peace!". Funny and true.
