Kenny Rock's MLB Color Quiz

A few months back, I logged onto SSUR.org(thanks PANTONE!) and nabbed all the 2005 colors for MLB's 30 teams. So, I figured I'd ask a few questions, just for fun, seeing how well we know who shares what colors. The rules? Don't check SSUR for the answers, and keep in mind that the colors encompass both uniforms, logos and secondary logos. PANTONE, I'm sure, could answer these instantly, but away we go!

1. The Orioles and Mets share the exact same color orange. What three teams do the Mets share their blue color with?

New York Jets |3-3| First, AFC East

New York Mets |74-88| Fourth, NL East

New York Islanders|34-37-11| Fifth, Atlantic Division

New Orleans Hornets |21-45| Third, Southwest Division

Nah, Dodger Blue is too deep. It's ironic, since the Mets adopted the blue to honor the Dodgers, but it's become a different blue over the years.

Maybe the Royals? There aren't that many teams that wear royal blue anymore.

Hey, I'm going to go out on a limb and say the Yankees.

Sorry for the delay - moser316 got it right - the Mets shade of blue is shared by the Kansas City Royals, the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and the Texas Rangers.

2. Only one team in the Majors uses a color that could be called "Light Blue" - who is it?

Excellente. I'll post a score after the third question.

3. True or False - The Mets' road uniform grey is completely unique to them, and not shared by any other team.

im gonna go true

about the whole points thing, does everyone who posts the right answer get a point or is it the first? Or maybe a good idea be first to answer correct gets 2 points and the rest of the right answers get 1

*nods* The correct answer, as most of you suspected is true. Nobody shares the Mets' particular color grey.

Here's an easy one:

4. Only two teams use a "sand" color in MLB - which two teams are they, and are their "sand" colors the same shade?

Scores(And I'll use Astrobull's second method of scoring. 1st to answer gets 2 points, correct answers beyond that are worth 1 point.)

AstroBull21 - 4

Moser316 - 2

yankeeman - 1

Darthman - 1

jWilson4mvp - 1

ThaFlameofAtlanta - 1

Right on. Here's the next one, this might take some thinking:

5. In the 2003 playoffs, two of the eight teams(1 American, 1 National) had a few things in common: Their playoff histories, and a color. Which two teams am I talking about, and what color do they have the exact same shade of?

AstroBull21 - 4
