As of right now (10 PM ET on Memorial Day), four teams are within four games of the lead in both the NL East and the AL East. All four teams in each division are also above .500. Though it's still early, who do you think will win the NL East and AL East?

What's tricky about the AL East is that all 4 teams are in it.

Everyone knows that eventually the Orioles pitching is gonna catch up with them. Bruce Chen? Sidney Ponson? Come on... There's no way they can continue with their success for the whole season. Can Roberts keep his hot hitting up? So far so good, but I have a strange feeling that it'll only take one thing to happen (injury, slump, I don't know) that would put this team out of sync.

The Red Sox and Yankees I see are very similar teams so far... when they're slumping, they're horrible, but when they're on a roll, they're unstoppable. Since both teams have older players, a key injury especially late in the season could be killer. It will be interesting to see what unfolds once we get closer to the trade deadline.

The Jays have been the underdogs of the divison, they do lack starting pitching depth and some power that they thought they had in Vernon Wells, but finally he's heating up. Only IF they can pull off a trade for a power hitter and/or a great starting pitcher, They're in the thick of things till the end. Otherwise, it's a .500 season for them.

In the East it's simply the Braves vs Marlins. The 2nd place team though I think will be the wild card, so both teams I think are gonna be in the playoffs.

I said Red Sox and Marlins... of course, I have some Red Sox bias. I think they'll be in the best shape. They're not a very good road team (weren't last year, either) and they're still close despite playing the most road games in the league (or being among those teams). Plus, Manny and Renteria are starting to get on track, as manny's average has been down.

I think this is finally the year that the NYY-BOS stranglehold on the East is broken, with the O's coming through with the win. Their lineup is just as stacked as the Yanks or Sox, theyve got an MVP candidate in Roberts and their pitching has been surpisingly good.

I see the AL East finishing somehting like this:

Orioles - 92-70

Sox - 90-72

Yankees - 89-73

Jays - 84-78

Rays - who cares?

I also think the Braves 13 year run will be snapped, with the Marlins getting their first division crown. The Fish have the best starting rotation in the NL, and now finally have legit power threats in Delgado and Cabrera. They're my pick for the NL (and possibly World Series) Champs this year.

Red Sox and Marlins.

Anyone who thinks Baltimore will last all season knows very little about baseball. Their pitching has no depth, and their rotation will not produce all year.

True, but its really hard to go against a team with an offense like the O's have. Their pitching isnt the greatest but i just have this feeling that their bats are gonna keep them in the lead all season. But i also agree with Braden, if a major injury happens to the core of this team, theyre toast

But pitching wins. Yea offense is great when your playing the Devil Rays. I don't see the O's winning many games if thier pitching doesn't continue in september when they have to face Halladay, Mussina, Pavano, Johnson, Schilling (if he pitches again), Wells, Clement, or Miller.

The Al East will come down to Yankees Red Soc. The Blue Jays with Halladay will stay in the race.

Wow that's a scary month, heh -- but the Yanks also need to figure out how to beat teams in their own division before they can start to be taken seriously (more seriously than usual, I mean).

NL East- If the Braves don't pull a magic trick outta their behind like they've done for the past 3 years and win the division again, then it's gonna be the Marlins. If the Marlins don't win, they'll be the wildcard. I can't see Florida NOT making the playoffs, that three-headed monster of Beckett, Burnett, and Willis is too good. When they make the playoffs, they've gotta be the favorites to win it all with that rotation.

AL East- If the Orioles continue their tear, they'll win it by a pretty good margin. But I see NYY in a race with BAL at the end for the title. I think if it comes down to a race, Baltimore will win it if they stay healthy.

I dont know, i think St. Louis has a rotation that is just as good if not better than Florida's and they have a ton more offense. I think that they will win the East but i dont think they will be able to get past STL. I would really like to see the Nats win the division though
